To celebrate magic's 20th anniversary, this summer's FTV product will be FTV: Twenty. On the PT stream, they said it will be one card from each year of magic, so 20 cards in all. Everything is supposed to come from tournament winning decks. Any guesses on what cards will be in there? Releases Aug 23rd and MSRP is $39.99 Preview art is most likely counterspell? http://www.flickr.com/photos/77138678@N05/8482053749/ __________________ Wisconsin - smells like dairy air!I collect Granite Gargoyles. The only basic land in tournament winning decks is Island. __________________ Wisconsin - smells like dairy air!I collect Granite Gargoyles. Send them my way.

counterspell wasn't in the first world championship deck, but mana drain was. Can't really see it with an MSRP that low though. __________________ |My Angels~My P9 l""|"\__, |~~My #1 Angel~~l'_|'_|_|) |(@)(@)""***|(@)(@)**|(@)

"Tournament Winning" doesn't necessarily mean "World Championship" though.

Yuk. Ok let's give this a try.... 1993 - could be anything! BOP, Lightning Bolt, Serra Angel 1994 - again, more of the same(remember Revised falls under 1994)....Armaggedon, possibly Mana Drain? Or Hymm to Tourach? 1995 - IA block....Necropotence for sure, sorry HL and Chronicles..wait? Possibly Serrated Arrows 1996 - FOW? Phyrexian Dreadnaught? LED? Has to be eitehr AL or MIR....bc Homelands was 1995(and it sucked) 1997 - Tempest....Tradewind Rider or Mogg Fanatic? I doubt Ancient Tomb would get printed again. 1998 - Saga.... could be anything. Probably not Cradle, but Academy? Sneak Attack? Show and Tell? Bargin? Will? 1999 - MM.....Port, Lin Sivvi, Blastoderm, Counterspell, Brainstorm, Saproling Burst, or Daze? 2000 - INV...Urza's Rage, FTK, Undermine/Absorb, Deed, Vindicate, Spiritmonger, Meddling Mage 2001 - ODD...COTH, Shadowmage, TOG. 2002 - ONS...Fetch Land/s? Astral Slide/Rift? Exalted Angel 2003 - MIR...Skullclamp, Ravager, Swords? 2004 - CHK....Jitte 2005 - RAV....Spellsnare, Remand, Lightning Helix 2006 - TSP...Tarmogoyf! Blahhhhhhhh 2007 - LOR...Doran, BB, Mutavault, Clique 2008 - SOA...Elspeth, BBE?(probably not after banning) 2009 - ZEN...JTMS! or....Stoneforge Mystic, or Land/s, proosibly Baneslayer bc M sets first came out that year too. 2010 - SOM...Wurmcoil Engine? Swords? Ratchet Bomb...or a Titan 2011 - INN...Snapcaster? Delver? Restoration Angel 2012 - RTR...bunch of crap...Deathrite Shaman? Name anything that has been played. Feel free to fill in any hot cards of the blocks I forgot if you go by "tournament winning" My grand prediction....this will contain 1-2 card sEVERYBODY will want, it will drive the price through the roof, and the rest will be fodder...just like all the other FTVs.

You have to keep the reserve list in mind in the predictions.

MSRP doesn't matter as we all know most places won't be charging MSRP... and something in the 50-100 range is extremely likely to see print in this.

+1 If its not on the reserve list its fair game. Also, if Disciple of the Vault doesn't get printed here he better be in the next From the Vault "banned" set

The problem is that all 5 of the LOR walkers have seen a promo version, or multiple promo versions. I would be happy with a promo thoughtseize though. I agree that baneslayer angel is a great choice for the ZEN-era year. Maybe original Sorin Markov since he's such a popular commander card. Is mind twist on the reserve list? Can't look it up on my phone right now.

Well, let's see, what hasn't been reprinted yet and is playable and not on the reserve list?1993 - Stasis (Geddon judge foil) 1994 - Mana Drain, Hymn to Tourach, [Adun Oakenshield, Angus Mackenzie — Booo, reserve list!], Blood Moon. 1995 - Infernal Darkness? Most IA stuff has been reprinted to death and Necro was already in FTV. 1996 - Any of the non-white Alliances pitch spells. 1997 - Tradewind Rider or Wasteland 1998 - Most of the cards daner mentioned are on the reserve list. There's tons of reprintable broken cards in Saga. 1999 - Blasto was a FNM foil. Port, Sivvi or Burst, with emphasis on Port or Sivvi. 2000 - Rage was in a reprint deck. Ftk was FNM promo. Vindicate, Monger, Deed and Mage were all judge foils. I wouldn't be surprised if they reprint a legend like Tawngarth or something. Yawgmoth's Agenda, perhaps. 2001 - COTH, Shadowmage, TOG. <- That haste black dude maybe. I dunno, Odyssey is like the block I know the least. 2002 - Fetches probably not. Slide and rift were FNM foils. Angel was a Judge foil. Something from goblins or zombies would be hot. Most of the good cards from this block have been promoed already. Maybe Sharpshooter? 2003 - Ravager, maybe. Swords, I wish. Maybe Lattice. 2004 - Jitte already promo. Maybe one of the more interesting legends. [Anything on from here, couldn't say considering many of the money cards will be in Chronicles II this summer]. I hope they make it a bunch of fun casual cards instead of tournament fodder so it's cheaper for me to pick up cool stuff for my edh decks.

These are just what I would like to see:1993: Stasis or Demonic Hordes or Mind Twist 1994: Hymn to Tourach 1995: Icy Manipulator 1996: Contagion or FoW 1997: Hatred or Dauthi Embrace or Eladamri, Lord of Leaves 1998: Defense of the Heart 1999: Rishadan Port 2000: Armadillo Cloak or Fires of Yavimaya 2001: Shadowmage Infiltrator 2002: Goblin Sharpshooter 2003: Goblin Charbelcher or Tooth and Nail 2004: Minamo, School at Water's Edge 2005: Dark Confidant 2006: Damnation or Slaughter Pact 2007: Thoughtseize or Bitterblossom or Horde of Notions 2008: Cruel Ultimatum 2009: JTMS...but realistically, Inquisition of Kozilek 2010: Wurmcoil Engine or Lashwrithe 2011: Griselbrand 2012: Mutilate As you can see, I favor black pretty heavily, but again, this is just what I would like to see and not at all what I think we'll see.
