is anyone there staying the whole week? or a longer period of time that isn't just Thurs-Sunday?

I live in Kingman, Az. 2 hour drive to Vegas. I'll try and be there just for the 2 daysish and thats it. Prolly the Vegasnites as well. Motlers coming from out of state might be there for a longer duration, I guess ask em!

I'm staying at one of the hotels that have the shuttle from Friday-Sunday. I'll be staying Monday-Wednesday night at a different hotel, probably on the actual strip. Just need to decide which one.

Well, that sucks. I think they have to communicate this to all the people who booked there (and refund their deposits.)

Cascade posted it on their blog, try to get a room at the Golden Nugget, it's right in the same area and they have a special for magic players too, pm me if you need the info and code.

Just booked my hotel at the Lyh. If my group drags on anymore, I will just book my flight too.

Just got this email from Cascade Games:

We have a new hotel block. Better rate, better place to stay than the Gold Spike! Free hotel shuttle.

The Palace Station is only 4.3 miles from Cashman Center. To book call 800-634-3101 and ask for Magic Grand Prix Las Vegas group or click to book online. Type in the code section PCIMGIC to get the discounted rooms.

There are two room types the lower priced courtyard $85 a night + tax. and for $20 more a night you can stay at the tower rooms.

The hotel includes a Free airport shuttle and the hotels other great features.

Gold Spike - The hotel block with the Gold Spike hotel is canceled. The Gold Spike was sold with no notice to us and is now closed as a result the shuttle bus that hotel was going to provide us with is also canceled.

I re-booked so fast it is not even funny. Thanks for the info. Just so you all know, Sunday will be $55 instead of $85 for the courtyard. Also, there is $5 reserve fee per night, which is also a reduced amount.

Uhh, what? I've stayed in many places far worse in Vegas. We always stay at Station casinos, usually Palace or Boulder, never had a bad experience. It's not the best out there, but for the price, it's a great stay.

Guess I've had poor experiences there, but imo for staying at a casino (which I should have mention is what I meant), it's pretty much the bottom. I'm sure there are many worse places to stay but I've never stayed anywhere other than many different various casinos, on and off the strip.
