Nder, you realize that up until like 6 days ago the TO was saying there would be no cap and had plans in place in case attendance was over 6k registrants right? Maybe he should have considered what the actual ramifications of an attendance that high would be instead of blindly reassuring everyone that everything is under control.

We better be seated with our packs ready to open by 10:30 today. Yesterday was out of control. The 100 in person registrants (aka the ones who slacked/forgot and did not pre-register) were the first ones allowed in the building, did not have to wait in a 4 hour line, and got all the free swag. I pregistered, had to wait in line 5 hours and got nothing. The first guy in the line for non-preregistered people got there are 3:30am, and he had a shorter wait than people who preregistered and got to the tournament at 9:30.

All I can say is the VIP was the best money spent. Showed up close to 10 pm local last night (1 am Eastern, so a long day), got my stuff and got out of there. And while I don't need to be there until noon, I will probably go early just because I can. If anyone wants to meet me, I will be wearing a blue and green tropical style shirt and a white Brooklyn Nets hat.__________________ My 2008 Nationals MOTL's Pro-Tour Winner 2007-2009 Tower Magic FacebookhilikuS: Also, as much as MAB's list has become the list on the T/A Forum, I do miss Slinga's.

Right now, there is nothing formal to getting sponsored. There are some top players (Orie Guo, who top 8 at GP Portland) that I personally know being sponsored with handshake agreements. There will be something more formal as we learn how this works.

My .02 of the event,Got there on Friday morning about quarter after 8, and didn't get through the line until quarter to 1 roughly. Standing outside for about 2 hours was horrible, but hearing that the line snaked around then back again may have been worse. However, probably the worst part of this was people cutting in line, this is something that happened and very well could have been addressed. The main reason I went to this event however wasn't the set, it was because I always wanted to go to Vegas and said should they ever have a tourney there I would. That being said, Vegas is hole! There are homeless asking you for money everywhere on the strip and people passing out porn literature to their local peep-show while you have families out w/ their kids. That was a turn off to the trip in my mind. Also, there was kind of an F.U. mindset from the hotels to their guests from some of the different things I saw and heard while there. Basically, w/ the EDC rave going on, all of the hotels in Vegas were sold out so if you had a problem they would offer to refund you and tell you to go somewhere else. Don't want to come off as super doom and gloom because the trip wasn't all bad, but there were details that were a negative in my opinion. .02, Jesse __________________ "call the hospital now" "I'm gonna kill you" inspiring words from Mino Fazio

I've gone to vegas atleast once a year since I turned 21. (30 now) I haven't had more then a handful of homeless people actually come up to ask for money from me. The porn cards though have been there since I first went. Atleast they changed it now to where they click it at you and try to get your attention for them. A while back they would just try to jam them into your chest to get you to take them. It's one of those things they peddle there with prostitution being legal there. (not in clark county specifically, but it's close enough they hand stuff out for it) Downtown vegas is where I love to go with the light show on the street and just the nostalgia thats there.

Ya know...everytime I went I treated that as like a pok-e-mon type game w my friends....gotta collet 'em all! Nothing like sitting in th Dallas Airport asking your friend "I'll trade you TWO copies of Nasty Nancy for one copy of Luscious Lana" and having some stranger ask "Lemme guess....Vegas?"

Neal is a really swell guy, I have done numerous trades with him in the past. It seems that the store (Eudomonia) that is affiliated with MOTL is where Neal plays at. I know he went to Cal so it makes sense.Awesome that he took it down
