Way back in the day though, when the Tempest block was current, I decided to splurge on 1 Legends booster pack. It's still the only Legends pack I've ever bought (and the most expensive pack I've ever opened). I pulled a Nether Void from that pack. Of course, being a 14 or 15 year old kid at the time I was disappointed in the stupid Nether Void because I wanted an elder dragon. Pretty sure I sold that Nether Void for like $20 not long after I got it. Ahh, to be a stupid kid. Oh well, at least I can say I've pulled a Nether Void from a pack I guess.

The foil unhinged island/plains back to back in two unhinged packs was pretty sweet. Oldschool to nemesis, needed 2 more blastoderms. Cracked a pack with a regular and a foil. Felt good.

CrazyBones Member	posted April 18, 2013 04:42 PM I started with Alpha and still remember opening my first starter which had a Shivan Dragon and Gaea's Liege.....and nearly crying 3 weeks later when I lost the Shivan Dragon in an ante game. What's really funny is that back then, everyone just wanted the biggest and baddest creatures. Royal Assassin, Shivan, Nightmare...that was as good as you could get back then. People considered pulling a Mox or a dual land "bad luck".
mtglover Member	posted April 18, 2013 05:43 PM Is this restricted to magic cards only? If not, it would be Babe Ruth Jumbo patch jersey card. If so, I have opened a bunch of magic cards ranging around $50.00 like foil sword of war and peace and foil baneslayer angel but nothing significant.

JayC Member	posted April 18, 2013 06:52 PM I think the best booster I've pulled in Memory was a FOIL Hallowed Fountain and a Non-Foil Hallowed Fountain in the same pack out of RTR. I'm sure I pulled better (i.e. revised duals, etc.) back in the day but I don't remember... I was 11.
ravidell Member	posted April 19, 2013 09:56 AM I stopped buying packs and boxes years ago, but for some reason at the local shop bought 1 pack jus to see if i remembered how. Pulled woodland cemetary and a foil snapcaster. Ill prolly buy a pack again in another 2 or 3 years

Traded everything but the Mana Drain and com/unc.
power9 New Member	posted April 20, 2013 02:59 PM From a pack specifically my top has to be Foil Polluted Delta from an Onslaught tournament pack, still sealed just sitting on the top of the whole deck waiting there. Also from my first 2 packs of Zendikar got a foil and regular Scalding Tarn, haven't found one since.

I've also popped duals (REV), under world dreams (LG), and Ernham Djinn (AR). I really do like to pop packs, so much fun.

I did open a Jace in a pack of Worldwake, but it was only 35 at the time so it was that big of a deal. No Goyf, duals, anything crazy like that.
Revane Member	posted April 22, 2013 12:38 PM I guess you could say that I have had quite a few good pulls Gatecrash Prerelease I pulled just about all the big mythics 2x Aurelia 1x Domri 1x Lazaav Foil RTR Sucked Conflux out of the 4 boosters I bought 1 Foil Progenitus (I literally took a lap around the shop) 2 Noble Hierch ROE The only booster I bought, and probably ever will by Kozilek AVR box Tamiyo (she was well worth the price of the box for me)
Thunddergod Member	posted April 23, 2013 07:34 AM I started playing around the time revised came out and I bought a couple booster boxes from the local b&m store for a friend and I. That night I popped my box and was thrilled when the first pack produced 12 rares, 2 uncommons, and common. The rest of the packs were the same and at the end my stack of rares was huge. I only played casual and didn't care about dual lands, so I traded my stack (probably 40 or so) away for cards from AN, AQ, and Legends. I'll be honest in saying I wanted to open the second box for my friend, but my girlfriend was my moral compass and convinced me otherwise. He came over that same night and about 3/4 of his box were full of rares as well. Needless to say it's a memory we still talk about.

fluffycow Member	posted April 23, 2013 01:52 PM Didn't happen to me, but I saw a guy pull a foil lotus cobra out of a zendikar pack during pre-release...followed by a mox ruby and then won the 64 man flight. But when he opened his box from his winning, his best card in there was just a foil lotus cobra without the mox...so the joke's on him?
