So i've decided to test my luck by buying old boosters and the first two just arrived, both Revised. One had junk but the other had a Taiga. I have 2 Italian packs of Legends on the way and am hoping for something good. What was the best booster pack YOU bought?

My first booster in magic - Shivan Dragon from 5th

Bought a revised booster back in the day and got a scrubland

Today I randomly bought an innistrad booster on a whim, and because I haven't bought one in years...got a geist of saint traft.

I pulled a foil Jace the Mind Sculptor out of a pack of Worldwake.

I have **** luck with packs. Last packs I bought, I decided to gamble on some Zen packs when they came out. Bought 6 packs, tossed one to my brother, told him he could keep it. I open 5 crap packs, he cracks a Tarn and a foil Lotus Cobra.

Now, whenever I feel like buying packs, I make someone else do it.

I pulled a mox jet from an unl pack, that feels like 50 years ago lol.
Mirror universe/mana drain 45 years ago
Also pulled damnation/foil damnation one time.

Opened 5 packs of Russian Future Sight about a year and a half ago. Pulled a Horizon Canopy and Tarmogoyf.

Best I ever bought myself, A pack of Arabian Nights from a sealed box back in 99 for $45, pulled a Library.

My wife bought me 2 packs of Japanese Worldwake for Valentines day when it was out, pulled a Jace.

I pulled a foil exalted angel back when onslaught was the newest set...was about the best you could pull *at the time*.

I bought a pack of revised back in like 2005 and got a bayou.

Recently out of innistrad I got 3 rares in 1 pack. I opened a pack of Zendikar on Tuesday and got a scalding tarn.

One time, back before foil rares were in addition to your rare I got a foil story circle (I think in 8th edition?) and my normal rare.

Old boosters yield higher cost cards so it's always nice to hear when people pull some of these amazing cards. Beats buying singles.

Opened a foil Elspeth in shards of alara and then later that week for a booster draft I opened a foil shards ajani.

That's surprising you got anything valuable from a revised pack since you can search them.

I've opened several Portal 3 packs that had imperial seals in them that I paid between $1.50 and $4 for.

Best recent pack was from Gatecrash, first pack of the first box I opened had a foil Sacred Foundry and a regular Sacred Foundry in it. I should have stopped there.

I don't open packs too often anymore. The last good pack I opened was around 18 months ago. I had given a friend of mine a few FBB packs for his birthday I picked up for dirt cheap at a convention. I had 2 left, decided to crack them and I opened a German FBB Tundra.

My friend wanted it, so I traded a similar one I had and kept that one. He was happy.

First starter/tournament pack I opened had a UL Time Vault in it.

I dont open packs often,Id rather just buy what I want.There like lottery tickets.But once and awhile I buy a pack or two for the rush.last week I bought 1 m13 pack and got a foil garruk primal hunter.Was pretty happy.

Best at the time would be when I bought half a box of Innistrad from the guy who won our prerelease. Took the 18 packs home and cracked a foil Snapcaster.

When I was first getting into Magic I found an unopened Revised starter at the flea market for $10, bought it and pulled a Savannah. At the time it wasn't worth much more than $20 though.

Only been playing 9 months sorry I don't have anything older and more exciting but it was the best day of my life

About 1 year ago, bought a Mercadian Masque pack from a used video game store for $4. I opened a foil Rishadan Port.

I never have luck but I was with my friend when he opened a Worldwake pack and got a non-foil AND foil Jace, the Mind Sculpter. He traded them right away and I told him he was an idiot. This was when Worldwake just came out.

Happened a about a week ago, my store got a bunch of Urza's Destiny packs from a collection. After running a draft with them they had a bunch left over so, since I missed the draft i got 3 packs. They were ok decent pulls but nothing great, said screw it bought 1 more and pulled Rofellos, Llanowar Emissary.

Not a huge pull but when am I going to be open Urza Destiny packs again anytime soon.

Split a box of Zendikar with my buddy on release day. I had gotten crap from my packs. Open my last one and it contained a Lotus Cobra and a foil Arid Mesa.

I remember freaking out about the Cobra, not even thinking to check the foil. When I saw that shiny fetch I just about had a heart attack.

Most memorable pulls:
- English Legends Abyss
- Bayou out of my first starter of Revised (it was just cool to look at; pretty sure it was Bayou, that or Volc.)
- 1st pack of IA my dad bought me, Jester's Cap (still have this one)
- At a PTQ and pulled Morphling and Stroke, and then the judge is like "this table keeps what they opened" as he taps on our table.
