Sadly, my best ever was probably a Liliana of the Veil out of a booster at the Innistrad prerelease. I used to win tons of packs/boxes back when I played standard (type II in those days) and I can't remember ever really pulling anything great. Countless Onslaught fetchlands, but that's back when Delta was only $10. No big foils. Interestingly, my brother only played for a few months and has me beaten as he pulled a Show and Tell from a pack of Urza's Saga. Of course, it was only worth about $1. I don't know what happened to that Show and Tell.

I think the best was either a foil Jitte from Betrayers, or a foil Sword of Feast and Famine from Besieged. The Feast and Famine was much more exciting, but Jitte is probably cooler.

Hmm, I opened two boxes of Innistrad and got two Regular Liliana of the Veil, one in each box. Does that count?

At Zendikar prerelease, we passed our packs to the left when we got them. Of course my original six packs had a UNL Underground Sea and a foil Verdant Catacombs. -_-

As for actually mine, I have had some pretty sweet pulls:

Bought 31 Onslaught packs about 2 years ago for 2$/each from a comic book store owner whose ship went under years ago. Only natural to get a foil Flooded Strand and a Windswept Heath, as well as TWO Goblin Piledrivers.

I was on SEVERE tilt one day after losing my win and in at a PTQ, sold my collection (lol), bought a Beta pack for ****s and giggles, opened a Bayou.

Started in Kamigawa back then opening a Wrath of God in a 9th edition pack was a huge deal to me. Remembered buying a box of Future Sight and opened a Tarmogoyf, Foil Sliver Legion, and Sliver Legion only to think those were bad pulls and got rid of them for nothing ...

Took a few years off and got back during M11, started with pulling Primeval and Grave Titan out of just 3 packs and not much luck after ...

Recent years luck has been improving a bit:

-Loyal Retainers from P3K pack bought on EBay
-Foil Sword of War and Peace
-Foil Liliana of the Veil from first pack of box
-Almost always open Onslaught Fetchland when buying 2~3 packs
-Foil Abrupt Decays

Not that good considering how many packs I do open...
