were the Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth and the Nightmare Lash made for use with each other?

First, this belongs here: http://classic.magictraders.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/026093-7.htmlBut to answer the question, I wouldn't say Nightmare Lash was made specifically to interact with Urborg. Urborg was 4 blocks previous to Lash. Sure, there are synergies but I doubt they sat down at the time of design and said" let's make an equipment card for Urborg".

There are actually several "swamps matter" cards that interact well with this land. Aside from Nightmare Lash, stuff like Nightmare and Korlash also jump to mind. From a flavor perspective, the card is meant to represent a location in the multiverse with extremely high concentrations of black mana. __________________ Wisconsin - smells like dairy air!I collect Granite Gargoyles. I did look at the Lashwire, and will now consider it even more for my deck

I hadnt seen Korlash before, but now want it. I have been playing off and on for years, so there are spaces where I have missed cards. this is fantastic

fantastic, I think that I am now building a deck around the Urbourg, even though they were meant for other decks when I traded for them

I run a BW extort deck that just loooves to play Urborg and Stern Judge. Makes the table swear when it goes down . I dolike that this punishes the players who ramp ramp ramp all the time. BW has difficulty ramping outside of awesome cheaty spells like Land Tax.

I just actually looked at this card, and along with the nightmare lash, you would only need one good hit also, I have desided to use
Spiting Spiders and Crucible of Worlds along with it

Spitting Spiders, Exploration, Oracle of Mul-Daya, Crucible and one/all of Lifegift, Seed the Land and Primeval Bounty would be a decent value engine. Add Horn of Greed for card drawing shenanigans. I quite like Spitting Spiders!

Horn of Greed would speed the deck up, maybe with a couple mulch, and anyone of a bunch of cards that let you being creatures back and exploration is much better than Fastbond, or maybe parred with it, and Dark heart of the Wood
