Welcome to magic the gathering. Feel lucky you even got two, most sets don't even get that. __________________ I shall have the souls of all who defy me. "Lord Crovax"

I'm curious which two. I see Spirit of the Labyrinth being fringe playable, but that's about it.

The 3/1 that prevents drawing cards, and the blue/green Planeswalker could be playable too... . And that's it I think.

I hope the next block doesn't have so darn many hydras in it. I'm feeling the dragon fatigue from Onslaught all over again.

I thought I could stop in and bless you scoundrels with my input on the set...I don't see where all the hate is coming from. For me, this set/block is really shaping up to be one of my favorites. This set is oozing flavor, and as much as I like to win, I like to have fun more. Look me in the eye and tell me Perplexing Chimera isn't a bundle of fun? You can't! Even putting the flavor aside, this set is looking great!. Powerful and fun limited bombs and general cards. Card(s) playable in just about every constructed format! This set is obviously going to drastically shift standard, with some cards flowing into the eternal formats. The new mechanics are clever and fun. More Gods

I'm still chuffed about WotC dropping the ball on the G/W god. EDH does not need another bloody ramp creature, especially when the same damn set has a better one(!) (the centaur yoke)Would it have been so warping to bloody standard to give us a G/W enchantress god in a bloody enchantment set? I mean, come on, and then Styborski has gush over Karametra like a teenage girl at [insert name of whatever wanker is popular at the moment] concert? Christ its like watching your team missing a goal at the World Cup. __________________ The Best Thing About EDH: "It’s like poker night, but nerdier." -David Schreiner

I'd like to know what you think is constructed playable outside of Standard. __________________ "Message to women worldwide: Girls....we're stupid. We don't like games. We don't know games. We can't read minds. Say it like you mean or STFU." -rockondonMy Sale Thread

Fringe playable? Card is busted. The only other legacy playable card is the cat legend (could replace Hero of Bladehold) __________________ Member Since 03/28/2001 12000+ posts 1st in posts in Ontario and Canada 9th in posts on MOTL 5th in Refs in Ontario Pushing to get to top 100 in MOTL Refs

blah blah. New Infest is better than old Infest and yes, it has seen play in Legacy.

Forgive me for sounding like a jerk, but there isn't exactly much "draw extra cards" going on in legacy at the moment. It's more like "play broken cards". Congrats, it's a 3/1 that nullifies brainstorm/ancestral vision/a portion of JTMS. Enjoy dying to giant monsters or small monsters with swords.

You forgot some Gitaxian Probe, Ponder, Griselbrand, Careful Study, Sylvan Library, Elvish Visonary, Regal Force, Glimpse of Nature. That being said it is a fragile 3/1, will likely see at least some play be it main or s/b in D&T.

I imagine it seeing play the way Aven Mindcensor did/does. It and of itself does not represent an actual threat. It's a reactionary card that addresses an aspect of certain decks. Don't get me wrong, it's a great board card against things like Stoneblade, but a deck like Jund isn't going to give a rat's ass about it. Honestly, I can't imagine what D&T, the mostly likely candidate to maindeck it, would take out to make room.

Agreed. Small set, and there's already 2 ready-to-go legacy cards. Might be one or two sleepers as well. Compare BNG to the last couple 2nd sets in each block, and it's about par for the course. 1st set of each block tend to have the powerhouse eternal cards (RTR and ISD especially so).
