My bad...I read that wrong. I read it as "first card you draw each turn"..... Ok, so, unplayable in constructed. Thanks.

Ajani, Mentor of Heroes 3GW Planeswalker - Ajani +1: Distribute three +1/+1 counters among one, two, or three target creatures you control. +1: Look at the top four cards of your library. You may reveal an Aura, creature, or planeswalker card from among them and put it into your hand. Put the rest on the bottom of your library in any order. -8: You gain 100 life. 4

Yet another planeswalker who we've seen before. Can we not get a new one and not a rehashed one? and yes, That goes the same for some others I know of, Jace, elspeth to name a couple. So in as we see they can't think of new planeswalkers, Sarkhan is next up in order, or is it another Sorin version's turn? And no, I do not like this card/planeswalker. 1st ability is meh. 2nd ability is playable. 3rd is crap.

If you reveal a land with Kuranos do you basically draw two cards in that turn or still one?

It says draw another, so yes, you draw 2 cards in that turn. __________________ I'm a geek, you're a geek. Let's trade.Lord Flasheart: Enter the man who has no underwear. Ask me why. "Reveal the first card you draw on each of your turns. Whenever you reveal a land card this way, draw a card." You draw the first card of your turn, and reveal it. If its a land, you draw a second card.

Agree, seem to find ways to do it in R/g, so why not G/w? Also this one blows.

I think you guys are underestimating Ajani's first ability. It seems pretty good, and fairly relevant. I mean, yeah if you have no creatures it's bad, but Ajani is going in a creature based deck. The +1 could be huge in matchups against other aggressive decks. The only real drawback I see with him is the ultimate. You have 2 +1 abilities, but you can only spend it on one thing. 100 life is really cool, but it doesn't effect the board in any way. I think the other two are worth giving him a shot though.

So disappointed by Kruphix.http://mythicspoiler.com/nyx/cards/kruphixgodofhorizons.html EDIT: I'm not saying it's a bad card. I was just hoping for something a little different I guess. __________________ Wisconsin - smells like dairy air!I collect Granite Gargoyles. Send them my way.

Either its due to being out of the mainstream competitive play or I'm just dumb but what is the benefit to Kruphix?

Yeah. the Prophet of Kruphix has a much stronger ability, but at least they play well together.

Prophet would have been better as the actual card for Kruphix. EDIT: My biggest problem is that neither effect is all that impressive or amazing. Sure, it's good when paired with Prophet, but I highly doubt it's going to be a competitive card. __________________ Wisconsin - smells like dairy air!I collect Granite Gargoyles. Send them my way.

Save up mana over multiple turns for a big spell like Rakdos' Return. It's doesn't seem very good for competitive play.

I think that this is custom made for Commander, but won't see play for much else.

But it doesn't read "your mana pool doesn't empty" that's what's confusing me. Is there a rule change that colorless manager doesn't empty at end of turn?

No, this will be one of those implied card-specific rules that they'll add to the FAQ.

If unused mana would empty from your mana pool, that mana becomes colorless instead. At first I saw it and thought it might be good in a GWu Enchantress but then remembered that version runs WoWind and Cloud of Faires so you'll never need his first ability and every bounce you gain 1 so... meh.

That's what Kruphix's replacement effect does. At the end of each step and phase, you empty your mana pool. With Kruphix on the battlefield, this action is replaced with "mana in your mana pool becomes colorless".
