The triple B deck, what is it you ask. It stands for Bounce Back Beatdown ( this is the name my friend coined and it stuck). This is a deck I created as a joke originally to play at school with some of my friends, but when I won the first 22 games I played with it I realized it wasn’t a joke. I had really stumbled on to something. You may not think 22 straight victories is awesome but consider the deck has NO rares, only 11 uncommons and has the total value of 1 Shadowmage Infiltrater. Now that is why this deck WAS a joke. The deck consists of blue bounce spells and massive green threshold creatures. I didn’t use counterspells at all because it slows down the deck a lot. The original deck consisted of 4 Llanowar Elves 4 Wearbear 4 Wild Mongrel 4 Springing Tiger 3 Metamorphic Wurm 2 Creeping Mold 2 Aether Mutation 4 Aether Burst 4 Repulse 4 Rushing River 4 Fact or Fiction 11 Forest 10 Island When I first built the deck I used Llanowar Elves instead of Birds because they became an attacker in late game that can take out another 1/1 creature, so you do not need to bounce that other creature. I used Wearbear because I didn’t have nimble mongoose but I think it is better this way because it becomes a 4/4 for 2 mana and can be used to produce mana in early game to speed the deck up. Wild Mongrel needs no explanation. Springing Tiger is the Blastoderm replacement, it is a 5/5 for 4 mana and at worse a 3/3 attacker in this deck, which is quite effective. I used Metamorphic Wurm because I didn’t have Krosan Beast. Metamorphic Wurm came out to be a much better choice because Krosan Beast is horrible without threshold. Creeping Mold is there to take care of pesky enchantments or to help an opponent become mana screwed. The return is much better than counterspells because you don’t need untapped mana when they play the spell. Aether Mutation is in their for the high mana cost creatures such as Mahamoti or Spiritmonger. This is probably the worst card in this deck. Aether Burst is just plain evil, especially when I started with three in my hand. Repulse is played instead of unsummon because you get to draw a card which is very important. I used Rushing River because it returns 2 cards to their owner’s hand and puts two cards in your graveyard for threshold. Fact or Fiction is just about the best card for this deck, not only do you draw usually two to three cards but you get three to four cards towards your threshold. It is great when you attack with 1/1 wearbears and then play a Fact or Fiction after they declare blocker to turn your bears into 4/4s. The sideboard of this deck id geared to the decks that give a Triple B deck trouble. Those deck are mainly decks without creatures. The sideboard has replacements for 10 of the bounce spells, Repulse, Aether Burst and Aether Mutation. I do not replace Rushing River because it helps return enchantments and artifact to their hand while building Threshold. The sideboard includes 4 Counterspell, 4 Mystic Snake, 4 Spellbane Centaur, 2 Syncopate, 1 Creeping Mold. By taking out the return you have room for the counterspells which their are 10 of. The 4 Spellbane Centaurs are great against opposition and the 1 creeping Mold makes a third one for the deck for decks heavy on enchantments. With this sideboard the largest problem this deck has is playing against Spellbane centaur which ruins all of the bounce spells. This deck has seen tournament experience, in fact I wasn’t the first to play it in a tournament. My same friend, Daniel who coined the name put it together and played it in a Sunday tournament and won all but two games. Those two games came against him when he was stupid enough not the take a new hand when he had no blue mana sources in his hand. He then of course told me that he had played the deck in a tournament the following day. I truly can say, I was surprised on how it did. Since the creation of the deck I have notice that almost all games lost by this deck and come from lack of blue mana. To solve this problem I have decided to drop the idea of no rares and decided to take out the elves and put birds of paradise in, I also put yavimaya coast into the deck. This has pretty well solved the mana problem, that the deck had occasionally had. After all this modifications the deck is as follows.Main Deck 4 Birds of Paradise 4 Wearbear 4 Wild Mongrel 4 Springing Tiger 3 Metamorphic Wurm 2 Creeping Mold 2 Aether Mutation 4 Aether Burst 4 Repulse 4 Rushing River 4 Fact or Fiction 4 Yavimaya Coast 9 Forest 8 Islands. Sideboard 4 Counterspell 4 Mystic Snake 2 Syncopate 4 Spellbane Centaur 1 Creeping Mold This deck works quite well as long as you remember that Wild Mongrel’s ability can be used during combat to gain threshold. Also every blue spell is only 1 blue mana which helps the efficiency of the deck, and every blue spell is an instant, with the exception of Aether Mutation, they can also be played during combat to gain threshold. One other note, don’t be hesitant to return your own creatures to your hand if they play Wrath of God. RealmWalker Jameson Tallyn

Deck named Draino looks kinda similiar than this. It uses Tolarian Winds to gain threshold quickly, while casting creatures which are powerful with threshold.Your deck looks kinda good, but i would remove Creeping Molds and Aether Mutations for Opts. They also help you with threshold. __________________ "I just heard Napalm Death today. Now every band sounds a lot better than before." -MeDo you have an Apprentice problem? Say no more, Read This !
