the official Green Lantern trailer is also out now. I kinda like that Ryan Reynolds is playing himself, at least until he gets the ring.

I'm so conflicted by this movie. The director did Twilight, but also did Lords of Dogtown. And it's about a werewolf. Amanda Seyfreid has talent (watch "Chloe"), but I can't take her seriously yet as a lead actress. Maybe in time. And finally, it has Gary Oldman. The only bad movie he's ever been in was Lost in Space. I probably won't see it in theaters. Too many other movies to see next year: Green Lantern Thor Captain America Sucker Punch Cowboys Vs. Aliens Super 8 (JJ Abrahms and Spielberg? Sign me up) Hangover 2 Smurfs (yeah, I'll admit it) X-men, first class Transformers 3 Moneyball The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo The Greatest Muppet Movie ever made

David Fincher is doing a remake of the girl with the dragon tattoo.

Don't get me wrong, I'll give all the credit in the world to the european version, but I trust David Fincher's directing track record, Daniel Craig's acting track record, and the screenplay writer, Steven Zaillian (writing credits include Schindler's list, American Gangster, Hannibal, Gangs of New York, searching for bobby fischer, the first mission impossible)

TF 3 teaserI'm hoping this movie is better than ROTF, and that Bay didn't do to Shockwave what he did to Devastator.

So I hope Tron 2 won't be a dud. Especially after I was forced to go see Harry Potter with my wife under protest... I was even worse than I thought. Also, just watched Rebuild of Evangelion 2.0. If only the gratuitous English wasn't so shockingly bad. They should have just animated in an interpreter for whats-his-name and hired some schmuck off the street to read out a handful of lines. The other girl at least probably took some ESL courses. The movie veers faaaar from the subject matter, and all the better for it. It was also pretty restrained with the fanservice for a Gainax film despite the promise the trailor had of fanservice. Remember the good old days of Gunbuster and, uh, pretty much anything else Gainax has made? There's shaking everywhere! Edit: Not going to see TF3 unless it gets positive reviews by decent reviewers.

Is Michael Bay directing? If so, don't get your hopes up. :/ __________________ (Humans) are stubborn, self-destructive conformists. Any other view of our species is just self-congratulatory delusion. Next Question." -- Michael Crichton, The Lost Worldstu55 noooooooooooooooooooooooo

So here come the December-release Oscar nominees: Black Swan, The Fighter, Rabbit Hole, True Grit... any others that you're looking forward to? I'm looking forward to Black Swan the most, as Aronofsky is one of my favorite directors. __________________ Stages of Death: Anger, Denial, Bargaining, Depression, Acceptance, Burial, Decay, Haunting, Revenge, Evil LaughOriginally posted by pyr0ma5ta: When in doubt, always go with the mom joke. you know aronofsky is directing the next wolverine movie, right? I'm so conflicted. I hope he does what he does, more story driven and less special effects. Let's not forget the debacle of effects in the farmhouse mirror in the first one. Ideally it would be something like Casino Royale, and not Quantum of Solace.

I hadn't heard that actually. I can foresee it being a gritty documentaryesque film a la The Wrestler. The day he makes a special effects laden formulaic blockbuster is the day I lose faith in humanity. __________________ Stages of Death: Anger, Denial, Bargaining, Depression, Acceptance, Burial, Decay, Haunting, Revenge, Evil LaughOriginally posted by pyr0ma5ta: When in doubt, always go with the mom joke. Rewatched Inception last night and I'm pretty sure I figured out the ending after reading someone's suggestion to pay attention to when Cobb is wearing his wedding ring. I won't spoil it, but yeah...it's there. Also, the plot is a million times more understandable upon a second viewing, but Saito (Ken Watanabe's character) is still as incomprehensible as ever. Seriously, he needed to dial down the accent. __________________ (Humans) are stubborn, self-destructive conformists. Any other view of our species is just self-congratulatory delusion. Agreed. His dialogue was the most confusing part of the movie, for me at least.quote: Originally posted by Greven: Black Swan was incredible. Best movie of 2010.
Still waiting for it to come to a theater around here. Also, saw Tron: Legacy in 3D. I was a somewhat disappointed by the special effects. I guess you can only do so much with a color palette of orange, white and black. __________________ Stages of Death: Anger, Denial, Bargaining, Depression, Acceptance, Burial, Decay, Haunting, Revenge, Evil LaughOriginally posted by pyr0ma5ta: When in doubt, always go with the mom joke. Tron 2 was amazing. It was more action-y than the original but, so what? It's not best movie of all time, but it's definitely solid. I saw the 3D because that's all there was, and there really wasn't anything too special about it. Kinda cements my belief that 3D is a lame gimmick. It's also hot to see my hometown (Vancouver) showcased so much.

I was disappointed with Tron 2. The 3d was pointless, the whole movie was slow, and to call it "Tron" when the character of Tron was in the movie for what, 10 seconds, was insulting to fans of the original. The whole God/satan allegory was decent.

Hum, Anderson surprised me (just watched RE:AL) for 3 reasons: #1. Good actor call for Chris Redfield. #2. Tool... 'nuff said #3. Wesker was AWESOME, really close to the real Wesker from the games. Hated him for one thing: Why the hell didn't he put Mila naked this time? *sad face*

True Grit was really good. A lot of the back-and-forth dialogue made me laugh for the right reasons (really witty). Toward the end of the movie, I was left wondering what was so gritty about Rooster-- sure he'd been tough, but truly gritty? The last part of the movie left me doubtless.__________________ *MafiaBass*Joshweek*Letter Bombs!*Prices*Gatherer*Logout Joshua Mason Sherman Jace, the Mind Sculptor Coincidence? I think not.

Awesome, I've wanted to see True Grit for awhile now. Was gonna see it today but went to a friends house instead and saw Fight Club. It was pretty good, although the whole Edward norton/Tyler Durden thing renders some scene completely unintelligible. __________________ (Humans) are stubborn, self-destructive conformists.
