Favorite food?

Ten favorite movies?

When did you get into Magic cards and who/how did you get involved?

Are we (America) going into a depression?

Where do you see the future of America's economy and general state heading and what could be done, in your opinion, to better it?

Peace,
Jesse

Do you bathe in raw hamburger?

How much grease do you use to grease yourself up every day?

Do you like to throw turtles at your enemies?

Do you take bread with your lard?

July 1, 2000. I was renting a house with a bunch of other people and I wanted to know more about Magic and start doing research and get to know the game better.

I started on my own, I was in 10th grade back in 1995-1996 and I saw a bunch of kids in the cafeteria playing with cards and trading back and forth. Some kids saw I was interested and at the end of the day I got a handful of mostly red and green cards from Fallen and Homelands.

Food is a toughie as I love food (my fb has a photo folder full of stuff I make) and I will eat just about anything except for perhaps Indian food.

1. Metropolis
2. Run Lola Run
3. Valami Amerika
4. pretty much any movie by Stanley Kubrick
5. North by Northwest
6. The Lover
7. The Incredible Lightness of Being
8. Star Wars
9. Lord of the Rings
10. Shawshank Redemption

Please see my Magic response above.

Yes we are going into a Depression but we're right now coming up on a little bubble of hope before we plummet even further than the 2008 housing crash did. I say in 5-10 years we'll look back on 2011 and think we had it really good.

As America is the largest consumer of goods and our past and current behaviour, I see that we're too lazy to do something/anything about it. We need to fix the pricing of goods and services as well as fix the rate of pay to match inflation. We need to learn how to control our spending and our consumption and quit sending jobs overseas. We need to make other countries interested in the fact that we have a ton of land and opportunities and give incentives to have them come over to us to give us jobs. We need to relearn how important a hard day's work it is, go back to some traditionalism where one family member is the head of the household and the other is the breadwinner in order to instill strong family values and teach morals to our future leaders. Teachers need to be paid according to how well the students are taught, all politicians should work for free as a servant to their community as they volunteer to want to be elected to do what is best for us. Schooling should be free and compulsory up through the basic four years of college. Our technology and knowledge should be in 1st place and have other countries look up to us. Immigration needs complete reformation to make it easier for people who really want to do what is best for their families and their future as well as a system to be able to expel those who do not and should not be here. Military needs to be reworked to be proficient and up with the current times and not be used for political use. Jails and prisons need a complete overhaul to release those who are in there for stupid reasons as well as harsher penalties for those who should not be in public, not sparing any political or wealthy or famous individuals. Certain prohibitions of things need to be removed for medical reasons as studies have shown that certain medicines side effects are far outweighed by the benefits patients receive. Medical care should not be free but should be on a scale based on your income and family. Taxation should be on a scale based on your income and family as well... doesn't make sense where 10 people that make $35k each pay more in taxes than one person that makes $350k a year for example. Taxes should be properly calculated and automatically taken out of pay where there is no option to change withholdings to eliminate overpayments/underpayments or to do away with taxing the paycheck and go solely on sales taxes (as we're obviously horrendously overconsuming things anyways, would collect more). There's probably more I could say but I think I'm ranting and I thought I'd throw this out while it's fresh in my head.

Oh man, what WOULDN'T I do with all that yumminess!!!

No, only in raw bacon.

About 2 tonnes worth of bacon grease... has to be strained first though...

Only if they don't like turtles.

Of course! Lard comes from wonderful yummy little piggies that make bacon! IT ALL MAKES SENSE!

Well my first name is Val (short for Valeria) and I was trying to think up of a username that would fit my hobby of the time (Magic) so Val + mtg made it to Valmtg. After 13 years of playing it, it has now ceased to be my username for new accounts.

Nope. I don't like horror/thriller films.

Magic is no longer my hobby but I do enjoy reading, cooking, playing computer games (like WoW for example) listening to music, surfing the web, doing some crochet or needlework, and traveling.

It had to have been Urza block. So many great cards from that.

There was actually 2 that I collected as fetish cards:
Divine Light from Apocalypse for the flavor text and kinda went along with my little self-proclaimed "goddess of Magic" title back when practically no females played
Kris Mage from Mercadian Masques for the art and flavor text

I was partial to red as it was a lot of quick direct damage.

In which format? LOL I mostly had Stacker/StackerII for T1, 10 Land Stompy or Goblins for 1.5, a red/black deck that had Urza's Rage for Block Party, Squirrels for fun casual deck, and some version of Sligh for T2/block.

I enjoyed 1.5 I think the best though I didn't get to play it as often since most kids couldn't get the older cards and not as many people played them.

Probably change pricing and availability. If it wasn't for my divorce I might have still have been inclined to play and try to recoup all my lost cards if it wasn't for the price of them.

No idea since I try to stay away from those sort of questions... but probably something traumatic happening in their childhood or marital status change. I try not to think of the "what if's" since I wouldn't be where I am right now in the best place possible if previous events didn't happen. I can't change the past so I try to not think of the "what if's".

There was not proven in the courts he was cheating on me yet the day the divorce was finished and it was my turn to pick up my children a female that he later married and was living with him while we were separated was in the car with him the first time I was no longer married and getting my children. So much for "'till death do you part", right?

A few years down the road it's the best thing that could have happened to me. I've advanced in my career, can do what I please, able to have a social life with real people, and I have someone that loves, appreciates, and communicates with me.

You found one of them? Congrats! Can you send it to me so I can see what I used to look like?

I don't have a Haves list as I no longer have any Magic cards.

Iono, a lot has changed so I'd check with Nder. He still moderates that, right?

Nope!

I think being nicknamed the "DCI Assassin". I was so soo bad my rating plummeted until it finally clicked how to play and what to look out for that when I started getting good and beating people they'd ask me what my rating was. It was fun watching their faces drain white.

Some guy asking me where my boyfriend was so I could get up and have the guy play. Then I proceeded to do a hard riffle shuffle on his cards and pound him soundly 2-0.

Yeah, Elvish Ranger does it for me. Works for you too? If not, I'll take the art from Kris Mage.

Uhm, perhaps Auriok Champion? It would be for the ability it does ROFL

-Note I noticed nothing of the sort in your questions-

Be who you are and don't change for anyone else... also you can never trust anyone completely all the time.

I guess the fact that I couldn't tell my parents the reason why I wasn't marrying was that I prefered women far more than men... and was pressured to find someone soonish and get married. It was a very large mistake I paid for dearly because I didn't find the right person that would treat me as I treated them. I could have still not told them my preferences and just held off marrying until I did find the right person and then... this is going to sound bad... "conform" and marry. Yes, I did marry not too young and not too old but I was the eldest child born yet the last to have gotten married. So much for major culture clashes where fear, obedience, expectations, and demands must meet the culture and parents ideals yet living in a different culture especially in this day in age where it is more acceptable to be who you are. The good thing is now I'm already in a more stable relationship where I can be critical and skeptical and not have to worry about keeping those feelings tucked away. I tell my partner what I think of them and they know I'm not conforming.

I'd like to have full and complete custody of my children where I can raise them properly and in an environment where they're taught respect, obedience, manners, and given all the love, attention, and care that they need.

This site, even though I don't frequent it like I used to, seems to have slowly evaporated. It needs more life.

Identifying and helping people with fraud on their accounts. I learned that at where I work and it's helped me be able to help thousands of customers and given me tools to help my analysts in turn help more customers.
