HiI have an Alpha Animate wall in nm condition. I was wondering why they are so expensive. On ebay they list them for over $100 but the beta only goes for about $10. Can anyone explain this to me?

They really are that expensive. There's one guy who collects Alpha Animate Wall specifically, and he has kept driving the prices up for at least the last five or more years. People who want to build an Alpha set or something have to bid crazy high. With only 1100 copies ever printed, and some of those presumably destroyed and others locked away in sets or in closets of people who don't play any more, it isn't hard for one guy to corner the market.Beta ones are cheap because they're the crappiest crap rare there is. They're Farmstead bad. __________________ Always buying misprints. Email me if you have anything interesting.

this was because some ppl tried to collect a % of the alpha rare run.. there's no other reason why this card is as high as it is.. © __________________ Since it is obviously inconceivable that all religions can be right, the most reasonable conclusion is that they are all wrong. -Christopher HitchensReligion is regarded by the common people as true, by the wise as false, and by the rulers as useful. -Seneca the Younger

It might have to do with it being one fo the first cards in the set. I read somewhere that when people start collecting sets they often start at the beginning alphabetically.

Sk1 (kikta1) collects both Demonic Attorney and Contract from Below. Rainsford had also collected at least his 1% of Demonic Attorney, but Ebayed them as a lot a while back.__________________ Always buying misprints. No idea if such a tournament exists, but that is certainly not the source of its high price.__________________ Always buying misprints. Its price jumped from about $8 to $60+ in a couple months a few years back following some widespread coverage of the now-defunct 5-color format. __________________ Always buying misprints.
