MOTL Price guide is based off Ebay auctions, so it doesn't matter what condition the cards were in.

Small corrections (For NM cards)

4 polluted delta - $23
4 wasteland - $48
2 badlands - $45
2 underground sea - $110

4 Lion's Eye Diamond - $35
4 Chrome Mox - $12

4 force of will - $60
4 sensei's divining top - $10
4 lord of atlantis (BETA) - $60

4 dark confidant - $30
4 Thoughtseize - $15

Someone else probably should look at this to confirm.

It depends how NM you want your Beta Lord of Atlantis. If you just want a nice one, but not NM per say, then your price is fine.

Not sure why these spiked so hard in the last year. I bought mine, at NM, for 35 not even a year ago.

near mint is near mint. No white dots. Ppl on motl know this, except if they are from or portugal or brazil.

Also, to quickly answer one of your questions a little more in depth...

As yukizora mentioned, the MOTL price guide is taken from completed eBay auctions. For older cards it can't distinguish between an auction for a Phyrexian Dreadnought that went through the washing machine and therefore only sold for $4 and a NM one that sells for $20. This brings the overall average price down in the price guide for most of the cards that see Legacy play.

For newer cards, think Thoughtseize and Mox Opal, they aren't beat up as much since most people now use sleeves so those prices are a little closer to real.

Also, another column to remember when using the price guide is at the far right end for the "Raw N" which is how many auctions were used to come up with the value. Anything with a low N is subject to variations easily. Most of the stuff you listed is pretty popular so there should be enough out there to get a good price but that Beta Lord might be a bit harder.

Pretty sure it's because merfolk is one of the most popular decks in legacy currently but it could also be simply age of the card. As this game gets older anything Beta is just going to get harder and harder to find no matter what it is. Beta commons that were .50 last year might be $1 now but when you take something like Lord of Atlantis which also sees play in legacy then the price could go up $20-$30 every year as long as this game remains popular and as long as merfolk stays a strong deck in legacy.
