Buy it nows tend to be the ceiling of price that the seller expects. Obviously the auction is not expected to reach that amount, or the benefit of buying it now would be set higher. The idea of a buy it now is for the buyer that doesn't want to wait and be in a bidding war... they can just buy the card straight up. That said, a card that generally sells for 100 dollars isn't going to have a BIN set at 80.00 or the seller is losing their chance to get full value. One thing I have noticed though. For some reason, dealers think that they can take any old card from unlimited and get it PSA graded. If it scores 8.5 or higher, for some reason that makes the card worth three times as much? If a Mox is worth about 400.00, maybe 425.00 on a good day, then that is what a NM version of that card is worth. The PSA jacket with a 9.5 doesnt make it worth 1000.00! http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mox-Jet-UNLIMITED-POWER-9-GRADED-MTG-MAGIC-MINT-PSA-9-/270621386066?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3f024aa552 see what I mean?

90% of Ebay's buy it now prices for P9 are inflated. Due to the lower transaction volume for P9, I will suggest you observe the average auction ending prices of P9 for about 1 month. It will give you a rough idea of their value. If you want to sell on MOTL, pricing it at 10% discount should be ok. I observed P9 auction ending prices for nearly 2 months before I started buying them back in 2007. Considering their value, I think its worth the efforts.

If in doubt look at completed ebay auctions to see what things really go for. Buy it nows are garbage. __________________ |My Angels~My P9 l""|"\__, |~~My #1 Angel~~l'_|'_|_|) |(@)(@)""***|(@)(@)**|(@)

Maybe not $1,000 but highly graded cards do get a premium over just someone claiming it to be NM/M. I agree otherwise, though. I've had people buy a lot of my stuff for a little higher (~10% to account for eBay fees) than what the card generally sells for, and I assume part of the reason is the lack of a bidding war and having to wait for the auction to end. This won't be any different with P9 and may be even more of an issue because, while P9 isn't entirely "rare" it's not something that sells 100 of every day like Standard stuff.
