I'd like to score a sealed one of these to open. I'm trying to complete a set and I feel like a good rush from opening some sealed! Curious as to how much I'd need to offer and also if anyone actually has these to sell in the first place?! =)

They are getting harder to find these days. And they appear in spurts. There won't be anything for months, and then a bunch will show up.My guess is that you could still find one in the $30 to $40 range for a single deck if you are patient, as I am aware of a couple of 10-deck boxes that have sold recently for under $300. Trying to finish a set from them is going to be tough, especially if you need a number of rares. I only need about 10 cards, and I'm down to searching for the singles, as the decks were only giving me duplicates, and were frustrating.

Were those sold on Librarities while I was away?I believe I'm the most active Alt-4th collector in the world, and I'd always be willing to pick up a box at $300 or a little higher. I'm very close to two sets, but still don't have a pristine Eye for an Eye. __________________ Always buying misprints. Specifically looking for - Alternate 4th: Eye for an Eye $10 bulk rares $1.50 - see my list for a complete buylist T-Chinese Portal Feral Shadow $4 T-Chinese Portal Wrath of God $25 Legends APs Wyvern FE $40 and up

One of the two boxes was initially offered on Ebay, but got pulled off when a friend (or maybe an acquaintance from a MTG website) purchased it directly. The seller had another box that was sold at the same price.Sorry, but I am probably more active an alt 4th collector than you. I am 10 cards (plus 4 upgrades) away from completing a pack-fresh players set. I still have a huge inventory of extras. Unfortunately, I traded away both my spare Eye for an Eye cards.

Hi,I'm about to go through my collection and have a few of these Alt 4th cards (Dark Ritual and Deathlace I believe so far - I've got about 10,000+ 4th ed cards to sift through). Is there a way to do a proper search on MOTL for those collecting alt 4th? Looks like Ermabwed has them on have/want list. Let me know as I have no ambition to put together this set and would prefer to get them into collectors hands (I'm a collector, but alt 4th, summer and test prints are beyond what I want to pursue). May get 1 summer card at some point, but probably a cheapy. Thanks...Greg

I won't argue with your collection I know you've been around. It just seemed like you had slowed down in recent years as you got close to that goal.Am I missing a keyword or something? I've had a saved search that should have sent me notification of anything on Ebay, and I bought the last box I've seen offered. I always feel like I've been doing something wrong when I hear stories about stuff I've missed that I should have seen.

I haven't slowed down as much as I have changed focus. I only need a few cards. With decks more expensive, it is less effective to buy unopened product. I figure each box of 10 decks I buy will only get me 2 or 3 cards I need. And I don't collect unopened product. So I have turned more to trading and to purchasing the few cards I want. I can offer higher prices and still come out ahead.I will buy decks if the price is low enough, simply to have more cards to trade. As for the Ebay searches, its hard to say. I refresh (from scratch) most of my searches every 6 months, because they seem to go stale if I don't. Sometimes it is changes to Ebay search algorithms. I've had global searches suddenly not be global. I've had price range searches suddenly change. I've had searches pinned to specific categories that become less effective as the category names change (either in the US or elsewhere). Sometimes it is the market. Normal descriptors change (remember when alt 4th had key words like "Cincinnati" or were tied to "summer"?). Unopened decks can be called by different names. You have to decide whether you want to search everything unopened, or everything 4th, or both. And sometimes you get lucky (or unlucky) when product is so completely mislabeled or the auction is so misplaced that you can get it at a great price if you can only find it. For whatever reason, when I reconstruct the search from scratch, and research what results I am getting, I am better able to adapt to the changes.
