Incorrect. Shocks were going to be 7-10 without DGM. The only tangible difference is the (hypothetical) drop from 7-10 to 5-7. Again, 2-3 bucks. And that discount is mitigated by the opportunity cost of playing standard/modern without shocks for 3-6 months, and the chances for prize payouts that goes along with playing an optimized deck. Seriously, complaining about this announcement is very short-sighted.

I always think about standard cards the way I would view leasing a car. You can't complain about the fact that you won't get your value back: you're paying to be able to have the newest cards to play with. If it's cheaper in the future, you aren't getting ripped off: the extra you payed was for the ability to play them for longer. Just my 2 cents, anyway.

Dragons Maze may greatly lower the price of shock lands but once they go out of standard again they will just get harder to get and will slowly go back up in price but not nearly as high as the original ones were over a year ago due to the supply of them. On a side note does anyone expect Innistrad duals to be reprinted for M14?

I'd lean towards no. They like to play up the ally color pairings in core sets.

I personally don't care that they are reprinting the shocks again. But people wouldn't be mad that the shocks are getting reprinted. This happened 3 months ago. They would be getting mad that they are getting reprinted within the same block again. Big difference. Also I do believe that RTR was the most bought set in the history of wizards. That being said, if shocks are not readily available at this point for someone to go get, I wouldn't know what to do for them honestly.
