I have the opportunity to pick up one of these and just wanted to get a general consensus on its current value. The card is in Mint/Unplayed condition.

I would assume north of $5500 is where they still are. Don't think the FTV ones affected it.

I wouldn't recommend mentioning FTV and RU Foil Jace in the same sentence

I'd guess in the $6000-$7500 range. $5000 probably a snap buy.

The last one I heard was $8k but I'm not sure how many buyers would jump on one at that if you have a playset you'd be looking at a premium I do know that.

Thanks for the input so far... 5.5K-8K is still a pretty big range though.

I'm trying to come up with a price that is close to market value (as opposed to a "snap-buy" price) so that neither the seller or I feel like they got the short end of the stick.

Anyone else want to contribute in hopes of narrowing that corridor?

Even better, does anyone know of any completed transactions involving this card (or have completed a transaction yourself)?

I've heard of two transactions.

$7K cash

and 4x foil RUS Misty Rainforest for 1x foil RUS JTMS = $8K trade.

It was actually 4x foil Rus Misty + $1k cash for the Rus foil JTMS + other stuff (rus foils) but maybe that stuff didn't quite make 1k

He got both the $7k one and the Misty one. He posted them on the source, so its not that secret

I know of at least 10 in France and 8 in the US.

Hearing rumors of offers of upwards of $40k for a play set. That's a lot of money.

I don't think there is a 100% set price. If the seller wants to maximize his profit then he needs to make the card available. If he just wants to be nice to rdennis81 and get a reasonable price, then $7k seems fine.
