The supply has met the demand it seems.

More like people have come to their senses for now. The prices on a bunch of mono-blue stopped shooting up, and some are finally falling back down to earth. Some of it has to do with supply finally meeting demand. Some of it has to do with the frenzy brought about by large tournaments that have passed (which is also supply and demand). There's probably going to be a small lull until the next major tournament.__________________ "Message to women worldwide: Girls....we're stupid. We don't like games. We don't know games. More is being put on the market so the price isn't staying up as much as it could. I think once we get the other two sets in this block Nykthos is the card that could jump by the most. If a good number of devotion friendly permanents are put into the two sets the call for this card will rise. It's one of the top 5 (3rd according to MTG top 8) most played cards in standard atm. When Mutavault rotates it could possibly jump due to higher demand due in part to the fact that Mutavault might be occupying Nykthos' spot in a few decks. The main thing that is holding this card back is the lack of good mana sinks for certain deck types. I wonder if Clan Defiance could see play for R/G? 40+ points of burn to the grill anyone?

Um. Yes I did. I thought I alluded to its inclusion in mono blue. __________________ "Message to women worldwide: Girls....we're stupid. We don't like games. We don't know games. We can't read minds. Say it like you mean or STFU." -rockondonMy Sale Thread

TBF, I think caquaa meant to say "was NOT even" particularly good in mono blue. That deck ran like, 0 or 1 copy of it, same with mono black. In other words it's not the mono blue deck that made Nykthos go up, it was probably more the RG one that ran 4 copies. I'm not sure I see that deck going anywhere for a while even if the other mono-devotion decks become less of a thing.

That makes way more sense. __________________ "Message to women worldwide: Girls....we're stupid. We don't like games. We don't know games. We can't read minds. Say it like you mean or STFU." -rockondonMy Sale Thread
