I saw the Ebay auction for this item and thought of this artwork as a rather trademark card of the Mirage block. I'm also a big fan of the Mirage block artwork; however, I do feel that the asking price is way too much. My question is, what do you think is a fair offer for this piece of artwork? I do understand that some may not like it and that "art" is very subjective. I have an idea of what I think its worth, but would like to get some feedback on what others think as well. http://www.ebay.com/itm/390684839663?item=390684839663&autorefresh=true

My best guess would be 2,800-3,200 but I have nothing to base it on.

It's a Donato piece, and an early one too. His work is always up there in price, and rightfully so.

I would be inclined to agree that it should be somewhere around this area, if not a little more. I would personally say somewhere in the $35-3600 range. While it is a mildly "iconic" artwork of the period, it is no jesters cap.

That will not sell at that price. These works are so tiny when you see them in person. It's somewhat iconic, but not 4 grand iconic.

Even being a Donato piece, I suspect if this went to auction on eBay it would fetch less than $2k, probably about $1500 if I had to be more specific. There are way more recognizable pieces from Legends available sitting at below $2K currently. Certain Donato pieces have a high or very high price tag, but this will not be one of them that actually sells with a high price tag.
