I know this thread is out of date, there's nothing wrong with the notion that buyers and sellers should be able to somehow split the surplus resulting from not having to pay listing fees. Sellers are able to offer some sort of a discount by combining shipping, but more so, the people who actually move large quantities on MOTL are those who are offering to split the surplus (i.e. selling for slightly below eBay average). There's no point in buying from MOTL if the product is readily available and you're paying exactly the eBay price. eBay has a much more structured dispute resolution system, buyer protection, not to mention that it's a larger platform and has consistent customer support.
