Mr.C Member	posted August 03, 2006 06:28 PM So, reading glasderg's post about beign ripped, and noting that MOTL does not have 'jurisdiction' to ban people based on shady trading practices on other sites. Maybe open a forum where mods from other trading sites could archive data about Confirmed Rippers / Bad Traders? Or open up a big Bad Trader forum to make searching easier? As in: - Magic Online Trading League --- Bad Trader Alerts --- Confirmed Bad Traders - Wizards.COM Boards --- Bad Trader Alerts --- Confirmed Bad Traders - MTG Salvation --- Bad Trader Alerts --- Confirmed Bad Traders - MTG News --- Bad Trader Alerts --- Confirmed Bad Traders - Brainburst --- Bad Trader Alerts --- Confirmed Bad Traders - Ligamagic --- Bad Trader Alerts --- Confirmed Bad Traders etc etc etc. Daunting? Yes. Good idea? Yes. Keep a universal list of Bad Traders, easy reference, easy to search, a good service to the community.
ronandaggy Member	posted August 03, 2006 06:45 PM i think its a good idea, just seems like it would be too hard to keep up with. on wotc, we have incorporated a small idea, if someone is banned from motl(for bta reasons ofcourse), they immediatly go on the warning list. and even this is hard to keep up with. __________________ your ubb survivor 10 champion!! I'm not sure that the server could handle so much extra (of course, I know almost nothing about Computer hardware..) I'm also not so sure it'd work. We have different criteria on MOTL than they do on the other boards. Plus, keeping up with just out BTA is hard enough, we're supposed to keep up with 5 other sites BTA cases? Not to mention the amount of people that should never have been posted, or if the person who got posted was actually in the right and they poster was wrong. Perhaps just a combined effort for CBT's. I wouldn't mind working with Mods of other forums to come up with a combined list of confirmed rippers. As per the original request, people scarcely check out the BTA and CBT let alone check out other site's BTA's. A link to other site's BTA's would be nice though, for those extra conscientous traders.
