Topic: Places to play forum...

Okay,Just a simple idea here for a forum that would basically let people post when and where a local tourney is. People are always looking for a tourney for a piece of P9 or some card of value and if they have the time available they would drive across town or a couple hours or more to go and play in the event. For instance say I knew a local store having a Mox tourney, I could post it on the forum and people would see it and say "hey, I got that day open, I can probably make it down there too...." blah blah blah.... you get the point. I know in my demographic there are people that go to events like this, why shouldn't there be in yours? just a thought,

I don't think the Magic forum is so flooded with these types of posts that a new forum is warranted.We usually get a post going in the Magic forum when a major tourney is coming up. That seems to do the trick. __________________

bolt,the key word that you used there is "major tournament". im talkin about smaller tournaments for a decent prize not a GP or something. can you dig it?

Honestly, I'm not sure how much value a post for a small tournament would have. MOTL is a global community, and very few small tournaments would draw more than a small handful of MOTLers, and they'd most likely know about it from another source anyway.__________________

Just start a thread imo and see how it goes. If it works out, yay, if not, it dies off.Personally it wouldn't help me, but that's because there's like no one in Georgia that plays Magic. Or well, they're all around Atlanta or north of it, and I'm not. But it might help other people that live in fairly busy areas but don't have much local connections in the way of Magic.

Just have a thread - like any of the "Post for ..." threads - this could be "The Post for Tournaments Down Your Way", so few would probably be posted that it wouldn't be too hard to manage and keep an eye on the most recent tournaments available
