It's bad enough to see full-on Have/Want lists where they use a point system and are like "I'll give you card X for 10 points, and I want the same card X for 5 points" nonsense, but I thought the whole idea of this exchange was supposed to be for misc low-value stuff that was needed for decks and collections, not yet another way for people to try and eke a profit out of other users.

If you want to be net profitting in cash, I feel this is the wrong thread for you. This is for net profitting in -use- and -enjoyment- by offloading things you don't use for things you do.

Now I don't really price out the cards I post as they are all commons and my intent is to have them be junk but with the rise in EDH and other formats I just dont have the time to check the value of each card.

I try to leave my list up for a few weeks, usually in the first day or two who ever has the cards on it will already have pm'ed me. Once I get thier cards I take down the list, buy what ever was left on it then post a new list.

Even without the question of what the cards were worth, you still accepted more points than you were allowed to.

I'm getting really tired of dealing with these issues. It's really not hard to do the math and figure out what you're allowed to get before accepting something. This is supposed to be a nice way for people to get those random cards that they otherwise wouldn't be able to find on H/W lists. Abuse of the thread is making it harder to justify keeping it going. I am strongly considering making accepting more cards than the rules allow to be a smackable offense.
