Why buy a playset of a card rotating in a few months? The best part is that T2 decks are now $400 cheaper.

Lol, what volcanon said. You'd get what, less than two months out of it? His price would have dropped anyway if you wanted to sellhim prior to rotation. But his value wont drop too far, because he's played in every other format. So I don't see the big deal. __________________ "I never got any respect at all. I hope wizards refunds everyone's event deck purchases. They said you could play it at FNM. If I buy one I will be DQ'd. False advertising much? Also standard is actually skill based again. Yay. Edit: NVM you acan actually play the event deck without modifications. At least wizards is honorable.

you obv didnt read the B&R update. there is 1 exception to the SFM ban - if you play the event deck 100% unchanged, its ok. (because its a precon, and its a piece of **** anyway)

I call it $20 each as a mythic, especially since legacy decks usually only run 2 and extended will likely only run 3, or it will get banned from Ext. Now we need 1 for EDH, 3 for legacy and 3 for a kitchen table blue deck.

Lol at people who say its gonna plummet and then plan on buying a set or more of them. Its because you plan on buying them, that they wont go that low. Also, mad props to whoever plays a pimped out war of attrition deck at an FNM.

I'm really surprised and disappointed. Not because I played Jace+SFM, but because now we have to put up with un-interactive Valakut and Splinter Twin.

It wont be skill based as long as the internet is around and people can just check out whats winning at worlds and go buy net decks.__________________ #1 in refs in B.C.,Canada #2 in Canada Top 40 in refs on motlemail-junglejuan6859@hotmail.com

Agreed. Standard will never be skills-based as long as the internet is around.Instead of losing to caw-blade over and over, I can now lose to valakut over and over. Oh joy

Cawblade v Cawblade was one of the most skill intensive matches I've seen in a long time. In it's heyday, Affinity v Affinity was all about luck... hell, the deck was all about luck. But if you look at top 8's of major standard tournaments, it's been mostly very highly skilled professionals - no random unknowns really.

This makes WOTC look like amateurs! Printing Batterskull really shows how poor they are at reading a format. They printed a banned card in an Event deck a few months back. It looks to me like they haven't been able to make up their mind for a long time. I think they should start inviting the pro's to playtest new sets because they clearly aren't nearly good enough at that themselves.
