So I have a store, and I was wanting to clarify a few pieces of information since my distributor doesn't really respond promptly.I'm receiving 3 Guild Packs and 4 Booster Boxes for my small little store. So according to a friend who also owns a store, "3 Guild Packs" is like 1/2 of a "Guild Case". Each "Guild Pack" consists of 5 Regular Packs and 1 Pack for your chosen guild. Is this correct?

I can confirm that you have the Guild Pack contents correct:
1x Guild-specific booster
5x Regular Return to Ravnica boosters
1x Guild-related Promo foilI don't know how many come in a "case" of these. I found it weird that you're getting 3 of these... are you actually running a pre-release, or basically just getting a few as collector's items/curiosity? As most shops are only charging $24-$30 to participate, I'm very curious to know what distributors are charging for these guys  Understanding that shops have to gain _some_ kind of profit margin, or why bother to run them?

Well I scheduled an RtR prerelease event through the event organizer so Wotc bases the amount I receive off of that. My distributor just delivers. The amount I am getting is 3 guild packs, and 4 boxes, I assume for prize structure. I also get an intro display I believe. The total cost was 1047.00

That's GOT to be cases of guild packs then, not packs. Because booster boxes run what, 80-ish each wholesale? You're probably getting a good amount of product...

Same here, I never get to go to events until this one. The last one I went to was the Visions pre-release and the deck I opened was awesome, but then we had to verify the contents and swap it, lol. The one I got in return was awful. I'll never forget that the best card I had was Nekrataal. I wish I still had my DCI card from back then, it was gold-bordered and had like six digits, lol.

It's funny, when a judge or whoever asks me for my DCI number, I rattle off my 6 digits and they always wait for the rest,lol.

lol, I just found my wife's... it says "MANA Player Identification Card". 6 digits, starting with a 7. Copyright date is 1996.Do they still offer Legend memberships? It says it comes with two alternate art cards and non-English boosters, lol EDIT: found a pic on Google of the front in case people haven't seen the old one before.

I still have the same dci card. Gold bordered and white. Still valid as well (tho last used was 2008 or 2009- shadowmoor/eventide booster draft. hey, placed 2nd out of like 16. previous was sealed draft in 2004~5th dawn!) i enjoy pulling it out and people look @ it like "wow this is ancient." i carry it my wallet, never know when i might need it.
Edit: correction: says dci membership. and mainly all gold. dci member...

Mine was different than that. I have it somewhere, but I remember having the arena stickers placed on the back of it for different seasons.

how do you stick with 6 digits? i had a 4 and then two 1´s added to my dci number.4-1-1-3-5-6-1-1 originally just 35611 (5 digits) (yea im pro at counting)

yah, I recall having one of those, but fairly sure I got rid of it when I got a plastic card finally. I still have my old judge card that expired in 2001; it does have a crack in it so I try and be careful with it. quote:

mine still works fine w/o the additional numbers. It started as 600893, then went to 90600893, then 8090600893, now I have no idea what the actual number is, but if I give the 6 digits then it works just fine.

Well this all got off-topic. Although I can relate to all the old DCI numbers. Lost it a long time ago and just applied for a new one. I believe at the time I was using a fake name like kakarot or something anyway.

Curious as to what guild I should go for. I like Golgari bc I can splash Rakdos or Selesnya, but I also like Azorius to splash Selesnya for power and Izzet for control...__________________

I will be in the Seattle area for this weekend and was trying to locate Prerelease info.I tried the "Find a Prerelease Near You" search on WotC site but it doesn't actually give you results to Prereleases (or anything relevant, for that matter) Does anyone know information for the Seattle area? Particularly for Saturday afternoon. Thanks __________________

I live a decent ways away from Seattle, but when i was there Shanes was certainly the best store I visited. I'd look them up and see if thats close enough for you, otherwise use their tournament locator and check for things on saturday and it should return decent results I'd think.

So they only thing choosing a guild does is give you 1 guild specific pack and the prerelease card right?
The other 5 packs are normal.So is there a guild that you "should" pick? Are they each even enough that you can go with the colors you like the most? I hear that Golgari is the most powerful. Is that true just because they got the best mythic or is it just true because they are better across the board? It is moot for me as there are no Golgari available at our prerelease. I am trying to decide between Rakdos and Salesnya. Anyone able to give me some advice? I would really appreciate if you pointed out any specific cards to target in each guild. Thanks all!!!

Why are there no Golgari packs at your prerelease?The spin down counter is also related to which guild you select (I think).

Most stores have a limited amount of each pack, and pre-registered players get preference. He probably waited too long to secure a Golgari slot.
