Went 3-1 with Naya. Played Voice of Resurgence in all but 1-2 games. Reckoner and VoR dominated for me. The one match I lost was because of mana flood. Got my opponent to 1 life then drew the rest of my lands and I had no creatures on the board.

Haven't had this much fun at a tournament since forever. Maybe the Coldsnap pre-release with six surging 2/1 first strikers.Finally a slow set. I love slower sets. The last time it was slow and not terrible was what, ROE? Chose Azorius, because that and Dimir were the only two left when I signed up. My blue was terrible so I ended up with WRGb. Pulled Boros for my other guild. It's a bit of a pile, and the cluestones are kinda meh. Definately a much slower format than GTC or RTR. 4-2 with a crappy Rakdos/Dimir pool. I seriously wanted Rakdos plus ANYTHING ELSE, but got Dimir. Ended up playing a RBWu deck which really only worked out as well as it did because I got two shocklands out of my DM packs (lol) and a Transguild Promenade. Played a whole two blue cards and it really should have been just one (Mirko Vosk).Blood Baron and Mirko Vosk won me a few games by themselves. Profit/Loss and Turn/Burn were mini-board wipes a few times. Toil/Trouble was a little less useful, but still not bad.

The funniest thing was that three guys who chose simic near me (the guild I wanted) all pulled Biovisionary. Suckers. I got some dumb white dude (the giant, I think?) and Boros as the partner with the 3/3 helix with battalion dude.

3-1 with selesnya simic. Opened trostani that won me most rounds, and Biovisionary who should not even be allowed in the guild pack. Sigh. All in all it was definitely interesting

Got a 9 pocket 10 page ultra pro binder, 30 sided die, 3 packs each of RTR, GTC and DGM and a Japanese Prophecy pack. Also a Worldwake starter(?) It has Wolfbriar Elemental on the front (foil) and a WW players guide in the back all shrink wrapped. Anyone know what this would be? It's looks to be 40 cards + guide. Any chance this thing could have a JTMS? My 2 losses were steam rolls. They got their **** before I got my removal and kablooey! A few of my wins were tossing out 4-5 extort guys and just draining the crap out of them. Had one game I was almost to 40 from extort. They were playing GWb and gaining life but I had too much extort and 8 removal cards. BRead yum. Was a risk but splashing for Lavinia of the Tenth and Isperia, Supreme Judge was sweet. Lavinia gave me 2 wins. Isperia stomped one game. the other she drew 4 cards and all removal and that was that. Best pre in a looonnnggg time.

I have serious doubts on those who said other mythics were pulled.. if I were cheating, i'd do a quick slight of hand and show it to my friend as well.. wotc, as thror posted, have already said they were the same packs, and the release itself said only guild leader can be pulled as the mythic.. as for pack rat.. it's not on the map.. and the map has been spot on in every other case when i did a look up at the PR.. so.. © __________________

While I don't doubt that plenty of people cheated I also have low confidence in wotc after their RtR guild packs often contained too many rares. If this error is real, since it seems to have a high chance of ocurring, it won't be long before people start making videos of the problem.

There are a few people claiming inconsistencies with the guild packs.http://forums.mtgsalvation.com/showthread.php?t=506786 I am usually more skeptical but there are people from a variety of areas claiming this has happened. It is very unlikely that a selection of individuals from different locales would all post about their experiences in order to legitimize cheating in a format that is only relevant for one weekend (two at most depending on release parties). Printing house could have made an error here. WotC could have miscommunicated. Lots of possible reasons for this to be happening

Friend I went to the PR with also opened a Precinct Captain in his Selenya guild pack, I think it is a Selesnya possibility. EDIT: For those interested, I went 3-2 at mine picking Orzhov and getting Selesnya as my "secret" guild. Nothing much good to support those colors, and other stuff was all over the place so couldn't make a deck with any real consistency. --Evil __________________

Went 3-1 with golgari/orzhov . 2-0,2-0,2-0,1-2. Lost the last 2 to missing land drops(arg). Extort was awesome, as was varolz. Pulled crypt ghast, varolz, renounce the guilds, unflinching courage, golgari clue stone and keyrune, a bunch of random extort dudes, 2 fatal fumes, 3 on color guildgates. Won multiple games due to varolz, and 1 with bronze beak moa/unflinching courage, thought that was amusing. Would've had first (6 packs)if I would've went 2-1 in the last round(lost to first place) and those packs would've included a foil ral zarek, VoR, and stomping grounds. My 3 packs had nothing but bulk. Still a lot of fun, I haven't been to a pre release in a long time. And pulled a ral and a notion thief in my guild pack so I likely broke even as well

Buddy and I didn't pick our packs. We decided to roll a 10 sided for our guildpacts. First one I played got Ses/Boros. Boros stuff was the worst. God awful. Luckily my Dragonmaze had some sick stuff like progenitor mimic. Went 2-1-1 in Swiss. Quarters mulls to 5 both games gave me poopies. Second one was sick. Rolled a 10 again got Boros/Az. Got warleader, sphinx, battleshaper, act, az charm, helix, madcap, catch/release, cinder ele. Went 4-0 in swiss and made it to finals. Lost to simic stuff stuck on 3 lands both games. Got packs n stuff. Think I'm gonna go play another today.

I played in 3 yesterday Went 3-0-1 in both regular sealed since the pack payout is based on record not standings. Then I played in a 2 headed giant tournament with random partners. Got Insane boros cards so I let my partner play that and I played 5 color guild gate. Pretty good with all the utility gate guys, split cards and crackling perimeter. During each round of the 2 headed giant a random name was pulled and that team got a special prize . if they won all other teams who won got something as well if they lost the losers got something. He gave out about 1000 dollars in product and store credit for it.

One of the releases we did. there were 7 guys who got orzovh and 6 of them got obzedat and I think like 4 of the orzovh packs were identical even...

I don't claim to be that old at the game, but I almost lost to a guy that was obviously new to the game because be opened Niv-Mizzet and the Izzet champion. That's how luck of the draw goes, I know. I don't really know what the point of my post is. I guess I just can't believe how close I came to losing. I'm glad I didn't take advantage of him not knowing the rules, because that wouldn't have been right. But if that guy had any clue how to play the game, my ass would have been grass.I started 0-2, then won out to go 4-2. I might have dropped but had no more money and was floor judging, so I didn't want to bail on that. __________________

I played an Esper defender deck with Debt to the Deathless as a win con, with back-up plan of Extort/Hired Torturer and went undefeated finishing in first place.  Also, to the guy who said someone was playing Pack Rat, someone in my LGS was also playing a Pack Rat. He went Rakdos with the Gruul ally. SOMEHOW, he had Pack Rat/Dreadbore and Skargg Goliath/Rubblehulk as his rares. This person also happens to be known for cheating on numerous occasions, but with all these stories going around of botched Guild Packs, we are wondering if it is just a coincidence. Seems unlikely to get two botched packs, with one of them having a frigging Pack Rat in it. After my research of the matter, it seems impossible to get Pack Rat, but someone here saw someone else with one.....
