Way to not include banned cards in modern masters, Wotc. You've created another tarmogoyf with bitterblossom. From like $10 to $80 in 1 month.

Faeries is back then, eh? Ach, jo. Will the turn 3 play still be Jace Beleren or will Liliana of the Veil take his slot?__________________ The Best Thing About EDH: "It’s like poker night, but nerdier." -David Schreiner

Well this doesn't make much sense. Was DRS that good? Especially compared to those two cards. He wasn't played that much was he?

Sylvan Primordial got banned in EDH. Glad I hate that damn card. Seems like Modern is WOTC's baby and they are trying to develop a format that they see fit. At least they unbanned more then they banned this time. I would like to see them unban more off the list.

We believe that removing Deathrite Shaman from the format will leave more room for future innovation."Were these decks dominating that badly?

, but I am only a little tool! I got to 20, got jittery and sold all of them, and then built it back to 16. But then I also buylisted the 16 to CardKingdom along with a bunch of other stuff.

This is not exactly a post I would expect from a mod.

+1 Though I do hate people buying out stuff speculating etc. If rishadan port or phyxrexian obliterator or some of those cards suddently tanked I'd be ok with a statement like this. As it is I have 8-10 deathrite shaman including my playset and 0 bitterblossom and am pretty disappointed.

Nooooo. Oh wait, that means I don't have to politely explain to people anymore why blinking him 1-3 times a turn is a poor choice. __________________ Wisconsin - smells like dairy air!I collect Granite Gargoyles. Send them my way.

Why is it a poor choice? Isn't blinking green destroy target non-creature effects a good choice for griefers?

I forgot that everyone had to approach magic with your standards in mind, silly me. As for the banning it... I didn't realize he was that much of a threat. Seems to me Birthing Pod could use a good banning. Aren't most of the top decks rolling with a set? BP just has always seemed too good to me.

I don't know, I sort of see this as Stoneforge Mystic. Both cards are banned in modern yet SM still had a recent price hike. In my opinion, having him banned sort of insures it wouldnt be reprinted again in significant numbers?

Well I guess this rules out Jund as the modern event deck right?

Not going to get drawn into a casual vs. competitive debate. Regardless, seeing him go does not make me sad. __________________ Wisconsin - smells like dairy air!I collect Granite Gargoyles. Send them my way.

My speculation on the modern event deck (which honestly I've tried to keep to a minimum) have been it would include one of these options: Noble hiearch (since hasn't been reprinted) paired with a green fetch land (misty or verdant) black/red burn deck like Greg Ocreenc's GP KC tpo 8 deck - some lands and now minus DRS which I didn't know would get banned Slight chance of an affinity deck but I didn't think so since so much of it was reprinted in modern masters Now I think there is a chance BB will get reprinted but honestly I'm not sure if they had that much foresight. In generally I don't give WOTC THAT much credit for planning ahead on things like this.
