Is most of the base for this foreign? Been going through looking to see who wants what and 99.9% of the people looking for stuff seem to not be from the US, which is rough, makes shipping in most cases more then the cards I'd be sending out are worth.Curious as to what other peoples experiences are. __________________ I shall have the souls of all who defy me. It's been my personal experience as well that most of the more common wants that stick around are foreign wants. Everyone has their wants of duals and big stuff, but very few people in the US list wants of smaller, more easily attainable cards. When they are listed, they don't last but an hour or so as someone jumps on the opportunity to send them.

loving pucatrade.I have my filter on there so I only see uS and Canadian wants.Works best if you list all your haves then you will see more matches. You do have to check frequently and jump on a cards when you see it.Right now Im only shipping to US and Canada and Im having great success.

At one time, this was the norm of Motl. Pucatrade has been like this now for like 6 months and going downhill. On the plus side u can't even get the smaller stuff unless you list 20k points worth of commons and/or uncomms. __________________ 30th in refs on Motl! #1 Ref's for Arizona! International Forever stamp is $1.20.I have had good luck with just getting playsets of crap I need to build random decks. I got a playset of Visera Seer almost instantly for the same price I would get off Ebay.

Why do some profiles take me to the home page? They don't trade overseas?

These accounts have either been deleted or banned. If you have a trade with an account like this, open a case for each card (copy/paste something like 'account deactivated' in the message box) and alert an admin. Your points will be delivered any time between 10 minutes and 7--10 days later, depending on the randomness of the admins' case picking.

Really? But some of those accounts have only popped up in my trade list recently.

Apologies for the necro, but no desire to create a new thread. What are people's thoughts on this still? Some locals seem to be very positive on it for filling their needs. I'm not planning to seek out hugely expensive wants, nor will I be listing anything in the high dollar range either. For those who have used this, have you had any issues with the condition of cards you get sent? __________________ Wisconsin - smells like dairy air!I collect Granite Gargoyles. Send them my way.

What does pucatrade use as its price guide? I want a bunch of small stuff like theros gods and such. Is it a decent deal to use pucatrade?

Random sampling suggests pricing is pulled from around TCG-mid. A quick comparison of like five cards on my want list matched the values to within <10 points. I guess I'm getting a free try. Did all the "bonus" point stuff to get the 500 in my account. Made a small want list and already have two cards on the way. __________________ Wisconsin - smells like dairy air!I collect Granite Gargoyles. Send them my way.

I've built Modern Merfolk, Affinity, Infect, and Burn almost from scratch, by trading off junk I was never going to use. I think it is far and away the best MTG trading site I have ever used, and I wish there was something like it for comic books.

Puca Trade is really good for getting EDH stuff. The way I use it is that I'll toss in some bigger things (the ones that most everybody is looking for) to get points. Then use the points to get smaller stuff.I deal with a lot of people locally that are looking for just a few 1 ofs for EDH, and if I don't have them, I can pop a want up on Puca Trade and it usually gets filled within 6 hours. It seems advantageous for stores to use in that type of situation as well. Especially if they can turn bigger ticket items that aren't selling into basically anything they want/need. If you're trying to turn your commons into Power though, I don't really see your gripe. That's something that you probably gotta get lucky to do. I also see a lot of people selling their points off at 70-80% value, so that's kind of alarming, but I never keep more than 10k points on there at one time.

Tracking down EDH stuff is my main goal, so I'm optimistic that this will be helpful in that endeavor.Have people had decent luck trading off bulk rares and moderately playable commons/uncommons through the site? That's mainly what I have open for trade stock. It's too cheap to sell on ebay, but too playable to justify bulking it out. __________________ Wisconsin - smells like dairy air!I collect Granite Gargoyles. Send them my way.

Being that the value now sits in the .65 area range on point dollar values, it continues to shrink. Inflation is a problem. I think that in 1-3 years this will be something that people talked about that they did back in the day that no longer exists. Probably what happens is that it folds and then another site just like it opens up all over again...

I've been on Puca for a couple months now and I love it. I'm basically just collecting sets now and filling in cards I need has never been easier. __________________ Collecting a.k.a. Hording...Phyrexian Negator. Foil, regualar, foreign, any. Help the collection grow.

Loved it a year ago (people traded for "normal" value). Hate it now (if you don't give "10% bonus for nm" or other stupid crap like that, you won't get your wants unless they're crap rares/non-tiers cards).I'll be banned either today or in the next few days -_- Random moron sending you cards HEAVILY PLAYED when it is stated to send nm cards only... Agreed to trade them to another user without seeing the damage on the cards (over 100 trades all nm cards except this douche). When I prepared the package to send to the other guy, I saw the bends and water damage, etc... Cancelled the trade and left a message to explain the cancellation... A mod AND that guy replied to say that the cards went up 3ish each and that I'll have to "pay" the difference in points to him since HE lost money (wtf?) So yeah, not going to give him free points because I don't want to send him heavily played cards another use sent me. They can ban me.

Yeah the other thing is that Puca makes money by selling points or memberships. They don't make money by you trading...so to make more money means more points in the system...and being their is no way that points are leaving the system as they don't take points and give you cash in return...it is a system that is going to crash one day. And for those that don't know, they banned the selling of points so that should be a warning sign. They started in the .90s and now are .65. The reselling was causing part of it, but if you can't sell something for cash it will be hard to cash out.

The issue I have economically with people believing there are too many points in the system is that, with each new member, more "goods and services" are made available for purchase, but only a few hundred extra free points enter the system. If i add $1500 worth of cards for trade and get 700 free points (or about 7 dollars), I've not decreased the value of points in the system, but actually increased it, since the goods have a fixed price. honestly, the system should have a floating value for cards especially junk rares. Who is paying tcgmid (or whatever algorithm is calculating prices) for junk rares? I get that its designed to put everyone on a level playing field, but it's the reason that trades disappear so quickly. Everyone has cards they're trying to dump for precious points.

How do people ship stuff and keep it economical on small value sends? If I send a less than 500 point deal to an established user in a PWE, am I just asking for a "never received" response?__________________ Wisconsin - smells like dairy air!I collect Granite Gargoyles. Send them my way.
