I would definitely rare draft a foil goyf in the top 8 of a gp over a card in my colors. He's gonna sell that for 4 figures.

Since when is a foil Tarmogoyf worth more than $999.00 or are you including figures after the decimal? __________________ "Message to women worldwide: Girls....we're stupid. We don't like games. We don't know games. We can't read minds. Say it like you mean or STFU." -rockondonMy Sale Thread

Is it because of the GP stamp from day 2 making it worth much more? I could see it as being $500 but never $1000

Uh...if its known it was from the top 8 draft it's a 1 of a kind collectors item. Someone will stupidly overspend to get it, and it's easily worth 4 figures.

Does the top 8 get a different stamp though?

It's a collector's item at this point. He's tweeted a picture of it, everyone knows which stamp it has, and everyone is going to know who buys it. It's one of a kind, and it's pretty much the most famous individual magic card there is, at this point, besides maybe Proposal, and nobody really remembers that card anyway.

Do people ever spend extra to get GP or Pro-tour winning cards?I couldn't find anything recently sold on ebay that advertised being signed/stamped from a GP/PT winning deck. All the GP/PT stamped cards I could find were selling for less than the non-stamped versions. So I see lots of people commenting on "goyfgate" on twitter over the last few hours. Someone care to explain what the deal is with this foil goyf - best I can tell somebody picked it for value in the top 8, and some pro's who may or may not have also been in the draft are angry that he made a value pick? If that's the case he might be able to get some extra value out of it if he sells RIGHT NOW while the topic is hot.

Is there a video of the draft pick on twitch/youtube? If anyone knows about it, please post a link.quote: Originally posted by Pail42: Do people ever spend extra to get GP or Pro-tour winning cards?I couldn't find anything recently sold on ebay that advertised being signed/stamped from a GP/PT winning deck. I think Evan Erwin tweeted a link to it.This might be it. I can't verify http://www.twitch.tv/magic2/v/5666987?t=5h40m04s The player's own statement on it. https://www.facebook.com/pascal.maynard/posts/10153368754361499?fref=nf

That's it. All that fake internet outrage over that little pick.

Buddy of mine cracked a pack of MM2 for fun. All of the cards were damaged on the top. Super duper lame. Will not be buying any more of these packs.
