Is this a rumor or something reliable?

Looks like a Rumor. But considering WotC's reluctance to deal with vintage/legacy at all, I'm not putting much faith in the rumor.

Ya, that's what I was thinking but it wasn't clear. I'm guessing that won't be the case but we'll find out in about a week presumably.

I'm thinking rumor. It's all based on a single post from some random person on Reddit, who is only getting ANY credibility because they said Twin was getting banned. Their second prediction on bannings was only kind of right, since they named the wrong card in Titan-Bloom that was getting the axe. Unless Wizards is burning the reserve list completely, I just don't see how this actually helps to drive Legacy as a format. Yeah, you can print Fow and Wasteland...but there are scores of other cards integral to the format that you can't reprint at all. An "eternal masters" product that does not include dual lands is pretty much worthless from the perspective of keeping the format alive, IMHO. Most of the time when people complain about the cost of getting in to legacy, they start with the mana base. __________________ Wisconsin - smells like dairy air!I collect Granite Gargoyles. Unless it wasn't an all reprint set and they explored some design space such as legendary duals which would actually help legacy while not putting the cards into standard/modern

They could just call it Conspiracy 2 or Conspiracy 2016 if they go with reprints legal only in the sets they were originally printed in and brand new cards only legal for legacy and older formats.

Conspiracy 2 would be super awesome crispy. Conspiracy was the bestest format in a long time. Even best that the hotshot players absolutely sucked at multiplayer politics.Foil stifle was nice too. It would be awesomer if it was T2 legal.

ya it's a shame ktk came right after. people stopped drafting conspiracy so we could draft ktk which was also amazing limited. i wish conspiracy had come at a time with less competition for good drafting

The good thing about Conspiracy is the boxes are still pretty cheap. So you can probably still do it.

My buddy and I still own a full sealed case plus a few booster boxes of conspiracy. We still open a box to draft just for fun on occasion.

Conspiracy 2 (or even better 2016) would motivate me to find some cash to spend on Magic. It was far and away the best supplemental product we have seen in a while, so much fun. We built a Conspiracy cube to continue having fun on the cheap, so more cards to add to it would be awesome.Eternal Master wouldn't motivate me to buy anything...

Depends on how the limited format is. At this point I'm so annoyed with WOTC I'm only buying limited product if Im drafting which I've stopped doing pretty much. With that being said, Massdrop has a conspiracy booster box drop that started this morning so I just signed up. https://www.massdrop.com/r/APURC4 Just search on conspiracy and/or booster box I've got a case of RTR, a box of KTK, and now I'll have a box of Conspiracy. All set aside for drafting. If I don't actually draft sometime soon though I may just sell them.

The competitive players starting whining pretty loudly after a few weeks (mostly because they just didn't get it when it came to multiplayer politics) so the store ended up switching into coreset drafts. Yuck.

i'm a competitive player but i can still enjoy conspiracy despite never having played EDH. It was a blast. Core set? Ug, I'm sorry for your loss

I believe the only announcement was about world magic cup formats. Not even a SOI spoiler.

That guy on reddit, who predicted/spoiled this, just became the most powerful person [non-WOTC employee] in MTG.

This whole situation raises some serious questions about information security practices by WotC. Spoilers from upcoming sets are one thing, but this info getting out almost six months early (and a month before the official announcement) is concerning. __________________ Wisconsin - smells like dairy air!I collect Granite Gargoyles. Yes and no, more accessablilty could increase demand as legacy staples were getting depressed with SCG cutting back on it and card accessability being an issue, also cubers and commander players may try to get more of these type of cards.

I just meant the likely "sky is falling" reactions I will be seeing online for a bit. I'm honestly hoping this drives up interest and demand for other format staples. I've been close to selling off my legacy stuff for awhile, since I can't justify keeping cards that valuable around when I get to use them maybe a half a dozen times a year at this point. I'm a little bummed that force and wasteland may take a price hit, but I just have to keep reminding myself that I paid so much less than what they are worth. __________________ Wisconsin - smells like dairy air!I collect Granite Gargoyles.
