For the millionth time:1) I have no relationship to alterrealitygames except for the fact that I buy cards and minis from them on occasion, and have been doing business with them for 2 years now. 2) The cards were sold out, as proven by every person who actually tried to buy those cards even after he jacked the price up. 3) I hate personal insults over the internet to someone who you don't actually know. It's unprofessional and childish. You never attack a person, only ideas and situations. So honestly with that unneccesary insult you invalidate all your opinions to me. The only people whose opinion I personally care about when it comes to a store's performance are people who have actually done business with that store. Viper had a bad time. I had a great time. All the rest of the posts are just opinions based on incomplete knowledge and snap judgments. I honestly don't care anymore about this issue. I think Viper overreacted and I think Jim handled the situation poorly. I'm going to continue to buy cards from the store until I personally have an issue with them. The less people going to the store, the better it is for me.

i recall bestbuy or some store had a price mess up couple weeks ago on HDTV and people bought them for like 1/7 of the price then they returned the payments and that was it. I think this wouldve been done better if the tone was better. Just say it was a price messup and return full refund - i dont think a store is out to rip people off especially on a small deal as this.

That's not much of an insult, now is it?

Don't sell yourself short, that was a heck of an insult! But if you're unhappy with it, my advice to you would be to try harder next time. I'm sure you'll get the hang of it in no time!

I've just been lurking this thread, but man... I laugh everythime I read this. I can imagine a group of portly fellows with badly goomed beards huddled around a computer cackling... almost like that video unhlyjspr posted of his cronies except instead of cries of: "Jank!" there is just laughter as the soft blue glow of the screen illuminates their frames. ;P (And YES! I suppose the internet IS a big place... bigger than even THEY believed perhaps?)

I think your last paragraph invalidated your opinion on anything ever.

As i was told that he gets jap. boxes of product that he sells, and I contacted him several weeks before zendikar came out. I he told him that i would like to purchase 2 or 3 boxs from him and he told me that he would have them for me and that the money was do a week before they came out. I tried contacting him several times so i could know extactly when payment was do as i was not sure if he was getting his product on the 2nd are not with wizards new distrubation policy. I never heard back from him i am 0 and 2 on jap box of mtg. Got my money refunded for jap m10 and from someone else on a different site, and the motl member who said they would have some for me didn't come through. I'll probley look and try some were else when the next set comes out and be let down on it as well. I miss the good old days during inv. block when you could find that product everwere
Todd has always come through for everybody on this site. I was also interested in a couple Jap boxes that he was to have for sale. When the "treasures" got spoiled, the price of boxes shot up, and the stock dwindled from suppliers. There was a thread (can't really remember, or find it right now) where Todd clearly stated that he was getting 0 boxes of Japanese Zendikar. If the guy can't get them due to distribution and demand, I dont' see the problem. He's not "magic". He quoted me a price on boxes, and pulled through for me, not once, but twice, and kept super contact with me. Kudos to you Todd, for what you do. ~Brad EDIT:: Found the thread where he says "0" jap boxes, on September 17th. More than 2 weeks before release. I knew this, how come you didn't? http://classic.magictraders.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/024004.html

Brad,
Thanks for saying it all. trying2playagain... I don't know you... I don't doubt you wrote me. I take care of my previous customers first and foremost. My prices are fair and better than 90% of other online sources. Since you are SOOOOOO on top of things, I'm shocked you didnt hear about the shortage and didn't read my post letting peeps know I was shorted. So in the future trying2playagain.... make sure you go pay someone else for your boxes. Not for nothing.... but I promised Brad I would get him 5-6 boxes. And I'm pretty sure I will be selling him boxes for quite some time. I took out of my personal singles supply to take care of him. We have since obtained another distributor and will be ordering from two. I do not have a site. I am a full time student and sell on here for weekend cash and random other expenses. I do not do this for a living. I do this because I like being an alternative to vendors and stores who shaft their customers. On a closing note: Thanks Brad
and go play in traffic trying2playagain <3 Todd

I recently traded with someone with more refs than me and now since he's received my end he sent me an email stating that it is required by me to give a written statement via-email that I understand the risks involved in sending cards through the mail and that he will not be held responsible if the cards are stolen, lost, or damaged during transit; DC or not. It is also preceded by "As stated in my post". Now anyone that has read the MOTL Sending Rules, or regulars the BTA Forum, knows that any rule[s] posted in anyone's thread does not superceed the rules that govern this site. What really stinks, besides the obvious lack of professionalism, is that we've dealt with each other on quite a few occasions, this being no different than the others, and we've never had any problems. Given the possibility that he's never read the sending rules or follow the BTA it is up to me to explain this to him, and the simple fact that he would think that I'd give up any buyer protection rights is plain silly.

Zoinks. That makes my head hurt. Yeah, definitely not something they should be doing after they get your cards. I trust you did NOT agree to such terms? __________________ There's no need to fear, UNDERDOG is here! All your Gruul Nodorogs are belong to me. Trade them to me, please! Report rules violations. Considering how this thread started and why, your responses to a potential customer made me flinch. Did you miss the whole point of this thread? quote: Originally posted by Masterwolf: 3) I hate personal insults over the internet to someone who you don't actually know. QFT. One of the best statements in this thread. It's one thing to disagree with you, a totally different thing to attempt to ridicule you because of your difference of opinion. HOWEVER, the bandwagon seats look so plush and comfortable, and god knows all the cool kids are already up there so... YOU'RE STUPID why do i feel so hollow?

There's really nothing that's actually a valid BTA issue. Stupid and selfish, yes, but he's technically not broken any rules by asking the other party to make changes to the terms after the fact, as long as they don't attempt to hold the cards hostage if farsk8dutch declines. __________________ There's no need to fear, UNDERDOG is here! All your Gruul Nodorogs are belong to me. I responded to an "attack on me", but if you would like to turn this thread from this horrible store to me, then feel free. As far as having you as a potential customer... I have a waiting list for my current loyal customers. Apparently, I am one of the few people who sells boxes under $100. I happen to be getting 24 boxes on Friday and intend to honor quoted prices to the people in which I have been in contact with. I am not a huge store and do not take kindly to direct flames. As 98vipergts stated for me, I did post about my boxes and I also notified people about my box situation.

Im doing this till January. I am joining the military and will not be involved in dealing MTG after that. I do this as more of a service than I do for a profit. The volume I do and choose to do, it is not viable to make a living at it. ( for those of you who buy boxes and singles from me, I setting up someone to replace me and they will honor my low prices on singles and boxes ) [quote]Originally posted by Originally posted by Masterwolf: 3) I hate personal insults over the internet to someone who you don't actually know.
