I usually send 16 - 18 cards.

But reading your comment I just checked and the package I sent him in December was not yet returned and he is the fastest (faster than Dan Frazier)...that's weird...

Some douchebag cried that Amy Weber is taking too long to sign his 3 Ornithopters (3 months), and called her out on facebook.

She has announced that she will no longer be signing magic cards, and I don't blame her.

I just realized anyone can post on there, I'd advise anyone here that cares about artists to give this jerk a piece of your mind.

He must have disabled his wall or changed permissions because by the time I got there I couldn't see anything. Huge tool though.

I would recommend sending her personal letters.
Once a community loses an artists, very often he or she won't become available again.

Amy Weber hasn't worked for Magic since Alliances but still gave people a chance to get there cards signed for a very modest fee. This douche (borderline?) accused her of stealing his crappy cards. Such a shame, Amy is a sweetheart.

Edit: I just read the guy's wall and I actually got really angry at the level of assumption he and his friend has towards artist. Newsflash: Artists are not your bitches! Quinton Hoover's comment really sums up my feelings about this.

He doesn't sign through the mail and rarely makes appearances.

That is why a lot of us scrambled to find people going to worlds last year to get stuff signed for us.

As for an email, the only one I knew is the one from the website.

Anyone know of certain artists who are willing to sketch something on a blank card (not interested in crazy, $100+ alterations)? I'm trying to get a couple tokens made up for EDH decks, and want as much variety as possible.

So far I know daarken is willing to sketch by mail for a small fee. Anyone familiar with others before I just send out emails?

John Avon does alters for like a $5-10 fee but I'm not sure about blank scatches. You can e-mail him and ask.

Ryan Pancoast enjoys making tokens during his down time at shows, and he does a good job at them, pretty sure they were $10 each.

Contact him for info.

I've had rk Post sketch on the blank Pro-Tour deck cards before. I believe that I sent him $10 per card, but it's been a while and I might not be remembering correctly. You can always email him and ask.

Ryan Panacoast does awesome tokens/alterations for $10 each, and will do pretty much whatever custom stuff you request. I highly recommend him.

Sent him cards in October. Got mine back yesterday also. Unusual for him to take so long. But you always get them back.

Actually, I sent to him back in 2006 and after he promised to return my cards on several occasions over the next 2 years I never got them back.

Considering how much some of those cards have gone up since then, I try not to think about it too much... but it still hurts

Take it easy,
Jared

Weird. I have sent to him many times and always get them back. Usually in a few weeks. I sent some to his home address the first time and it took a year to get them. I send them to his studio address now.

Yeah, I was a little suprised too. I sent to him once and he got the cards back to me right away (3-4 weeks). I was pretty excited so a couple months later I tried again. After 6 months or so of no cards I emailed him and he replied that he hadn't had a chance to get to them, but was close.

After that I politely checked in every 3-4 months over the next year and a half, always getting the same response. Around the 2 year mark I quit getting responses.

I still drop him a line from time to time, but never hear anything. I'd be fine if he had said that he sent them out and has no idea what happened (if they got lost), or that he wasn't going to be able to sign them. I hear others say how great he is, but my experience with him has been anything but

Take it easy,
Jared

Got a question for you guys...

Which signed cards do you look for the most (your most wanted list so to speak):

Mine are:

- Wasteland
- Mystical Tutor
- Tarmogoyf
- Stoneforge Mystic
- Darksteel Colossus

@Tim: I hope it's okay to semi-hijack this thread for this...

That's fine, I suppose

I'm shocked that I actually have 2 of the cards signed off of that list

Mine main ones are:

Frenzy Sliver
Essence Sliver
Goblin Warchief
Trinisphere ( finally found one after many years but always want more)
Skirk Prospector
Limited Resources
Mind Over Matter ( Have one and picked up one for Markus)

Of course there is a common theme going with that list of cards.
