They are the only ones I have problems with. German foils are unfortunately the absolute worst.

Now that we've identified the problem, does anyone have a solution?I'm taking a bunch of foreign foils to GP Atlanta for signing and would like to avoid the problem.

I'd suspect using a paint pen or something similar would work. Only issue is that later the signature can start to rub off.

That's the reason I stopped collecting sig/foils...It's just a mess.My recommendation would be to avoid (newer) foils and go with normal cards. __________________ Collecting signed cards. PM me...Total signed cards: >30'000 my stuff my nearly complete signed sets

Like mentioned above, paint pens will do the trick, but take forever to dry, which is a pain when your in a line that has to keep moving.

I used to have quite a lot of Japanese and Chinese and German foils, and never had any problems getting them signed. I've pretty much always used Black, Blue, or Silver Sharpies for them with no problems when I used to pimp like that. If your Sharpies is legit and foils aren't warped you shouldn't be having problems in my experience.

I think the problem has to do with the new foiling processes they have been experimenting with.

I recently bought a signed M12-Chandra. I got it now but it's not signed by D. Alexander Gregory but by Aleksi Briclot...What's your take on things like that? I kind of like it but to actually make it to my collection it would have to be signed by Gregory as well (special kind of double signed). __________________ Collecting signed cards. Not my cup of tea personally. Is there any back story associated with it?

Does anybody have English Misdirections signed by Paolo? All of the ones I had were Japanese Foil, which I have since sold off, and now I just need some plain old English non foil ones. Please help! I may have some signed cards by Vance Kovacs and/or Mike Dringenberg (and others) in return.

I could spare 1 signed Misdirection if the offer is right __________________ Collecting signed cards. PM me...Total signed cards: >31'000 my stuff my nearly complete signed sets

Hey guys. I was wondering if anyone had a signed card from Jim Nelson? Hubs has a card signed by him and we want to verify his signature. Its a Fungal Shambler, pre-release for Apocolypse. He signed it James Nelson so we weren't sure if it was really his signature.

Here is an auction which shows his signature: http://www.ebay.com/itm/MTG-PROMO-DCI-FOIL -FUNGAL-SHAMBLER-SIGNED-JIM-NELSON-/320923581549?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4ab8893c6d
