Final results are in:FINAL ROUND:
1. An uncommon artifact with a sacrifice ability.
2. A 3-color Legend [Mythic Rare] that would be the Lead General in a later EDH/Commander box set. Can be either new or part of previous storylines that isn't a legend already.
3. Any card type, any idea. There are no restrictions, except can't be MULTICOLORED or ARTIFACT.
Skizzikmonger:
Card 1:
Fire Bomb - 0
Multikicker-R
When Fire Bomb enters the battlefield, put a charge counter on it for each time it was kicked.
2R, T, Sacrifice Fire Bomb: Fire Bomb deals damage to each creature equal to the number of charge counters of it.
(I really like this. Not only that, but it could definitely be part of a 5 card scheme of uncommon artifacts with sacrifice abilities. Doesn’t seem OVERLY powerful. Not as good as Pyroclasm since usually have to wait until 3rd turn, but also has the power to be better than ‘Clasm. And it doesn’t deal damage to opponents/players, so it’s definitely, again, not too good. Balanced and appropriate.)
Card 2:
Amon, Demon of Wrath - 3WBR
Legendary Creature - Demon
Flying
XWBR, T: Tap X target attacking creatures. Those creatures get -X/-X until end of turn. Amon deals X damage to each player.
6/6
(Yeah, the wording is weird. I know what you meant, but yeah. I don’t believe the Demon creature type is that of the color white. I like it’s ability, but being able to deal 5 a turn and choose attacking creatures to kill might just be overkill. However, it doesn’t have any built in protection, so I think it isn’t too undercosted. P/T and an ability seems on par with mana cost. I think the ability is color appropriate, but this would need playtesting to see how powerful. Similar to Dragon Lords of past, so I like it. Just think that it’s ability may be too good because you can still block with it.)
Card 3:
Azazel, the Demon Lord - 3BBB
Legendary Creature - Demon Lord
Flying
Other demon and devil creatures you control get +2/+2 and have Undying.
2BB, T, Sacrifice a demon/devil: Target player draws three cards and loses three life.
5/5
(I like it. Very interesting with adding the association between demons and devils. I think +2/+2 might be a little much, especially with undying. I think this card would have been more interesting if you made it more ‘Lord’-like, keeping in theme with the mainly 3 CMC ones. Make him a devil (since he’d be smaller), give ‘em +1/+1 and undying, make him a 2/2, and keep the tap ability. But this Lord is a legend so maybe the +2/+2 is appropriate. Think this card has potential, just don’t think it’s quite there yet.)
Enduringideal
Card 1:
Reflecting Mirror - 2
Artifact
2, {T}, Sacrifice Reflecting Mirror: You may choose new targets for a spell or ability that targets you or a permanent that you control.
What goes around comes around.
(I like the idea, I just don’t know if this fits colorless. This is something I’d be damn willing to put in everyone of my decks. Essentially a fork, on an artifact, AT uncommon? Definitely think that doesn’t really fit, unless had added a color requirement for the sacrifice ability.)
Card 2:
Demandred, the Shadow King - 2WUB
Legendary Creature- Vampire Spirit (3/5)
Flying, Vigilance
{T}: Put target creature that was put into a graveyard this turn into play under your control. That creature gains haste. Sacrifice that creature and gain life equal to its power at beginning of the next end step.
I will control you in death as I do in life, for tonight I will feed on your soul.
(Ability doesn’t seem like blue. Seems more red than blue. Vampire Spirit definitely seems White and Black, as does it’s ability. Also, it means you would have to use your removal on your first main phase, as putting it into your play and giving it haste on your opponents turn doesn’t really give the effect you want it to. In that case you’d just be gaining life from your sorcery speed removal. So yeah, seems a little awkward overall.)
Card 3:
Restless Graveyard
Land
{T}: Add 1 to your mana pool
1B, {T}: Exile a creature card from your graveyard and put a 2/2 black zombie creature token into play.
Here, the dead don’t stay dead for long.
(Ok. So an almost equivalent to Moorland Haunt. It makes 1/1 fliers, this makes zombies. I kind of like it. Elegant, simple, good.)
Thanos
Card 1:
Leshrac's Tomb
Artifact – 0
Tap, Sacrifice Leshrac's Tomb, Exile 3 cards from your graveyard: Target player exiles 3 cards of your choice from their graveyard.
(Slightly narrow, but a new take on graveyard hate. Have to sacrifice your own to exile three from them. Seems fun. Fits uncommon to me.But because you are exiling three of your own I would expect it to remove your opponents entire GY, but maybe that would be too tough.)
Card 2:
Rafiq the Undead - 3WUB
Legendary Creature - Zombie Knight
Undying
Other creatures you control gain undying and deathtouch.
4/4
(Think the colors maybe off. I understand what your trying to do with Rafiq, but yeah. Undying and Deathtouch seem more Black and Green than Blue and White. But dunno how hard you were trying to keep the colors in line with original Rafiq, and added Black for the two abilities seems reasonable. Adequate mana cost/P/T ratio for such a good ability.)
Card 3:
Polluted Bog
Land
Polluted Bog cannot be played on your 1st, 2nd or 3rd turn.
Tap: Add 1 colorless to your mana pool.
Tap, Sacrifice Polluted Bog: Destroy target land.
(Another simple and elegant land. Definitely could seem them print this, because it’s a strip mine but on 4th turn at the earliest. Definitely makes it feel balanced, especially with the direction Wizards has gone with cheap LD. I like this card a lot.)
In third place is:
EnduringIdeal - 3rd
I just felt like, compared to the other two, his submissions were subpar. They had a lot of potential, and with a little tweaking, I could see them in future sets. But as is, just were a little crude.
In second place is:
Thanos - 2nd
Good submissions in the final round, and for all rounds. Stuck with the undying theme. I think his Polluted Bog was probably the best submission of the final round (Barely beating out Skizzikmonger's Fire Bomb). The other two weren't bad, but didn't really blow me away.
and thus, in first place:
Skizzikmonger - 1st
Good round. Again loved Fire Bomb, with potential to make a 5 card cycle (Marble Bomb, Fire Bomb, Charcoal Bomb, etc like the Mirage Diamonds). Love the take on multikicker. Liked the idea of a demon 'lord', but the execution was OK, and liked the color scheme/ability of the General.
Honorable Mention for BEST CARD IN THE ENTIRE CONTEST:
Lord Crovax - Frozen Tome
Frozen Tome - UUU
Enchantment (R)
At the beginning of your upkeep, return a land you control to owners hand. If you do draw a card.
Coasterdude84 - General Khurzog
General Khurzog - 1RR
Legendary Creature - Orc Warrior
T: General Khurzog deals 2 damage to target creature or player and 3 damage to you.
Sacrifice a creature: General Khurzog deals 2 damage to target creature or player.
His effectiveness as a leader is attributed to his soldiers being more afraid of him than the enemy.
2/2
Enduring Ideal - Unintended Catastrophe
Instant
3UR
Counter target spell, then each of that player's opponents copies that spell. Each of those players may choose new targets for his or her copy.
Skizzikmonger - Nissa, Slave of Bolas
Nissa, Slave of Bolas
2BG
Planeswalker-Nissa
+1: Put a 2/2 black and green Elf creature
token onto the battlefield.
-2: Target creature an opponent controls gets
-2/-2 until end of turn, then target creature you
control gets +2/+2 until end of turn.
-X: Sacrifice Nissa, Slave of Bolas: Destroy all
all artifacts, creatures, and enchantments with converted
mana cost X or less.
3 starting loyalty

PM for your address to get prizes out.
Still have yet to figure out what they will be but yeah.
Also, the two non-skizzikmonger, non-enduring ideal Honorable Mentions will be getting a prize too, so you can PM me (Coaster, Lord Crovax).
