15 were added ( the books taken from other levels).

10 went to $160
5 went to $220

Wow, I checked this thread at least once a day and it's still not enough.

Am I missing something here? They have a bunch of people here alone willing to fork over $160 in advance who are frustrated they can't beat the dash... don't they want our money?

The fact that every single pledge that includes the book in any form is limited means that they based their pledge and stretch goal amounts on how many of the books they could produce for that value. The pledges in excess of the costs of the books come with other tangible awards that need paying for (whether in materials and shipping, the artist's time etc)

To open up the pledge rewards to a higher number of copies would also require a similar increase in the -minimum- pledge amount to fund the kickstarter: A thing which is not allowed by Kickstarter once the fund has begun.

They also aren't technically allowed to solicit outside donations via paypal etc.

Basically: They thought it would be less popular than it was, and set the goal too low to produce too small a quantity of books. But there's every reason to suspect that the second the kickstarter funds, they will have a shop site up somewhere that allows you to buy/pre-order the books, but they're currently stuck by Kickstarter's pledge rules.

I check it occasionally, but it's always been gone so I didn't think much of it. Three times is quite a bit though, wonder what happened.

Yeah dude, I appreciate it! The problem is I am never around at the exact time it happens. Will keep trying though, since Bagbokk did get lucky .

Fay Jones never responded to their request to be a part of it.

Andi Rusi was in then dropped out.

Amy Weber from what I heard is held up ATM, not sure the exact info.

I'll admit to being an idiot despite advanced academic degrees.

When I try to find out what time 8pm GMT means for my time zone (Toronto), I'm getting all sorts of warnings about daylight savings time not applying.

Since I don't want to screw this up and miss it by an hour, anyone want to clarify my ignorance and tell me what 8pm GMT means for, well, any North American timezone, especially mine? You can feel free to mock me, by all means, if you give me the answer

EST is GMT-5

So 8:00pm GMT is 3:00pm EST

Now that we're in daylight savings time, we're in EDT which is GMT-4 so 8:00pm GMT is 4:00pm EDT

Since the kickstarter company is located in EST, it seems the safest assumption that they will go "GMT is -5, but now with daylight savings time, it's -4" and it will be 4:00pm

Edit:

Thanos' post basically says that they are using GMT unmodified by daylight savings time (ie UTC 0:00) and just forgot to change the S to a D

1:00pm PDT, 4:00pm EDT and 8:00pm GMT are the exact same time.

Looks like it took 5 minutes for the $160 option to sell out this time--I beat the rush by a whole three minutes
