I talked myself out of them, I just can't spend that kind of money on them.

I feel like they're something I'd like to keep as a reminder of my Magic days when I eventually stop playing (which might be soon, depending on job stuff). Convert cards to money, use money to buy cool stuff like this.A second set I'm not interested in, though I can maybe see it eBaying for a significant amount after some time, given that they aren't looking to keep selling these. These and the playmats.

I almost talked myself out of the book itself, then realized that I may as well spend the money because it'll be a talking piece.

Same here. I might have been more interested in getting them if they were 3.5"x5" (same as oversized MtG cards), so I could put them in my 4 pocket album pages and show 'em off. As is, they'd just be another thing I'd have to figure out what to do with - streamlining the collection is tough, but decisions need to be made. Take it easy, Jared

Even though I was unable to grab a $160 package, mostly due to the fact that I have been unable to get to a computer when a package had become available, I want to thank Thanos for going out of his way several times to try and help me get a $160 package. That was pretty awesome of him.

I was referring to the guy that posted there recently about it's been a month we should be concerned, aside from the other fruitloops along the way whining and complaining.

Haven't they been saying fall since the KickStarter started? I haven't been to the page since I pledged, but that does sound like something that would be said on there.

Wow! Just wow! What an idiot! With people like this it is no wonder artists stop caring for us fans. __________________ Collecting signed cards. PM me...Total signed cards: >35'000 I am on IMGUR now!

quote: Originally posted by Thanos: I posted this on the Artist contact post, but I figured I'd put it out here for those that don't check that topic.2013 is Magic The Gathering's 20th anniversary. Over 30 of the game's original artists are commemorating with a new art book. They have a kickstarter going here. Check it out.
Any updates among the cognoscenti? It's September. When should I expect my "goodies?" Things seem to be awfully quiet in the artist and signed card worlds! So some good news would be appreciated!

Are these going to be available somewhere? Would anyone like to trade a copy?

For anyone that missed the Kickstarter, the hardcover and softcover books are available here:http://www.fullsteampress.com/the-gathering.html My guess is that the limited edition hardcover books won't be available in this fashion, but I really don't know.
