I like the idea behind this card. Remand/Unsummon + Shock almost doesn't seem worth the 4 mana (compared to, say, Ojutai's Command, which has many more modes). I like that it has "modes" that are all good against Hangarback Walker, Den Protector, and Deathmist Raptor, though. Sylvan Scrying reprint looks so goofy...

Only in English, but they'll still be available in Russian, Japanese, and Korean packs (as well as all other languages).

If they had printed the expedition lands in foreign languages then it would have made the foreign boxes worth much more than the English ones. This keeps us from having a $700 Russian Misty Rainforest compared to a $200 English one. It keeps these lottery tickets "fair" across the world.

How about $800 foil german polluted delta from about 3-4 years ago? lol. But I can imagine russian "Expedition" lands being rather absurdly expensive compared to regular english.

Yeah I was just throwing a number out there. They're doing the right thing by only printing these ultra-rare items in only one language.

I saw Horribly Awry and thought omg this is the best counterspell in years. Then I saw "Creature". Sigh.Wish they would print a decent counterspell aside from Mana Leak. Why don't they reprint Power Sink? It's even flavorful for eldrazi stuff.

Lets discuss: The Second Best ETBT Black Land After Bojuka Bog (Mortuary Mire) Frost Titan's Finger (Skyline Cascade) Free Forest Advantage For Azusa (Fertile Thicket) Ok, discussion is over. Someone at WotC ok'd the cards, and did so at common level.

They come into play tapped and essentially also act as a 1 mana spell that's in-color. They seem okay to me. Not crap, not super powerful. Black and green ones have a lot of potential in limited. Blue and green feel like they could see constructed play. Red and white aren't very exciting for aggressive decks because the effect is at sorcery speed and prevents you from curving up on-schedule.

The red one is def limited playable. First strike might as well say unblockable most of the time.

I'm a fan of woodland wanderer. It'll be pretty sick to get a 5/5 haste & vigilance with surrak out for 4 mana

Anyone find fat packs for less than $45?You can split a booster box with someone and get 18 packs at that price. Darn full art basics.

Does anyone know what the other 20 cards are going to be in the expedition part of the set? And if they will be part of the following set in this be block? All the full art foils are numbered 1-45 meaning there's still 20 to be revealed???

Yes, the other 20 lands are in the next set. Also, did anyone else notice that there are no White Devoid/Eldrazi cards in BFZ?? I wonder what does that mean from a flavor standpoint.

The eldrazi are colorless evil. They seem to have now adapted colored mana. However, while White can be evil, White evil is all about control and order. Eldrazi are all about destroying everything. It's incongruent. That's probably why.

quote: Grip of Desolation {4}{B}{B} Intant Devoid (This card has no color.) Exile target creature and target land.
quote: Planar Outburst {3}{W}{W} Sorcery Destroy all nonland creatures. Awaken 4—5{W}{W}{W} (If you cast this spell for 5WWW, also put four +1/+1 counters on target land you control and it becomes a 0/0 Elemental creature with haste. It's still a land.)
So, I just want to be sure about this, but if my opponent casts a card like Planar Outburst for it's Awaken cost, and I destroy the land being targeted in response with a card like Grip of Desolation, the awaken spell will completely fizzle? It looks like it could be a huge ruling to know for the prerelease.

Yes. Awaken adds a target to the spell. If all the targets are illegal the spell will be countered by the game rules.

Why did Undergrowth Champion just tripled in price? Because burn is dead in standard now?

I think Undergrowth Champion goes in that tier 2 hardened scales deck people are playing. I can see it being cool but there's no way burn is bad enough to allow a clunky midrange scales strategy with a bunch of do-nothings in the maindeck to hit the top tables.

There's been a ton of BfZ testing online and people are in love with bad cards. I honestly think this entire set should've been aborted. It's awful.
