I hate Derevi. Playing against it once was enough for me (but I know some people who could say the same thing about my Windgrace deck).Thanks to Walmart, Greven is finished (minus sleeves), and I can finally build Zaxara

Nekusar is not fun. Had to team up with a Meren player to stop a Nekusar player from enchanting it with Glistening Oil and nuking the pod with poison counters. Between the Meren player’s Butcher of Malakir, and my Grave Pact & Blood Asrtist, we were able to eliminate the Nukusar player.The only things I hate more than Nekusar & Derevi are chaos decks, and WOTC putting new $40 staples in precons (like they did this year).

Convince me Im wrong, but after the first precon, wotc killed EDH (for me.)To many staples, liniear, and overpowered generals, insta-win buttons, grindy unfun horse****, etc... Around the 2nd or 3rd precons, I could predict to near perfect accuracy my opponents deck, thier plays, etc... It was ... boring.

I agree most of the commanders and color pairings force you into a specific strategy, and that WOTC prints too many staples in precons (and a possible cEDH commander in one this year), I still think the format is great and it’s the only format I enjoy (and have time to play).On a related note, I love mail day. I finally get to start putting my casual Zaxara deck todether while I gather the rest of the cheaper pieces I need to make a run at building a cEDH Zaxara deck (Grim Tutor & Imperial Seal are the two I won’t be picking up unless I get lucky tomorrow night).

Miss me some EDH right now.
I have Jhoira, Weatherlight Captain with 3 "options" - Eggs, Big Artifact Fatties and Tokens; Slivers (only comp, rarely played), Arcades Walls, Zedruu, Narset, Maelstrom Wanderer, Edric with 2 "options" - Tokens and Merfolk, Lin Sivvi with 2 "options" - Angels and Tokens, Estrid with 3 "options" - control, auras, and mishmash. I had Nekusar and got rid of it. I had Derevi that was actually bird tribal that wasn't as oppressive, but got rid of that too. I do think the precons are smart on Wizards part, but I do agree that I find myself buying several of the legends and stuffing them in other decks just because of power level. They are essentially "framing" the archetypes by creating legends for specific archetypes which then decreases variability. However, whenever they do, makes me want to build new decks (which I find myself having to not do because of expense), so I just put the cards in the other decks I already have.

Salt Lord Windgrace aka The Concession Stand (MLD combo)I can’t wait to play Zaxara & Greven. I had just finished Greven when the rona shut everything down so I haven’t been able to play it, but I’ve been able to upgrade it thanks to C20.

Well, it took me 1-2 years but I finally recompleted the Grim Lavamancer Global Playset project.Those 4 S-Chinese foils from DXL were a huge huge HUGE pain to acquire. Not expensive, just impossible to get. I suppose I'll make an updated video some time in the next year or 2 lol.

I gave up trying to keep up with all of the promos and sets being released so I just collect Lu Bu pre-release promos nowadays. I have something like 300 or 400 now.

heh i'm wanting to rebuild my old top 8 decks, one of which is a legacy iq i won. i now regret selling off all my volcanics and most tundra. Unfortunately i can't spend money right now but i do need to trade for some volcs and tundra.

I've been pretty heavy into old school that last few years. Even traveled to italy a few times to play. I'll be going one more time next year then taking a break from long distance travel for awhile.
