Would be good if sellers had to read the sending rules and waiver required each time they had to post a new list and agree to the terms so that BTA mods have less headaches. Won't happen though, there are other pressing issues such as fixing the price guide.

Go check out deckbox.org in the meantime. You can at least get TCG low pricing on your cards that way.

Home from my first day of work! It was pretty neat, but they want me to drive to Newport and Middletown next week... and that's over a huge, huge bridge. I don't know if I can make myself do that. :-\Thanks, Jazaray __________________ A Plastered Dragon Original Limerick: There was a nice lassie named Jaz Many wished to have what she has, A delicate face, A soft warm embrace, And a whole lot of bedroom pizzazz.WeedIan: Jazaray is like MOTL's Mom. Of course you can. You can't look yourself in the mirror and tell yourself that your boss could get mad at you and even might fire you all because you can't drive over a bridge? In the words of a well-known American: YES YOU CAN! Just follow the car in front of you. It's just a road!

This. I understand the fear, but do you imagine your employer will be okay with that as a reason? EDIT: also, the road to my folk's house on the potomac involves driving over the Bay Bridge in Maryland, which is a mile long. It was nerve-wracking the first time, yes, but you get very much accustomed to it.

You guys obviously don't understand much about Gephydrophobia (yes, I had to look it up )It's a phobia. It's irrational, I know it's irrational, but I can't help it. It took me a long, long time to be able to drive over the Jamestown bridge ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jamestown_Verrazzano_Bridge ), the Newport one ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Claiborne_Pell_Newport_Bridge ) is at least twice as high and nearly twice as long. Thanks, Jazaray __________________ A Plastered Dragon Original Limerick: There was a nice lassie named Jaz Many wished to have what she has, A delicate face, A soft warm embrace, And a whole lot of bedroom pizzazz.WeedIan: Jazaray is like MOTL's Mom. Conquering your phobia is entirely up to you. Not easy but not impossible either. How badly do you want to keep the job? If it involves crossing a bridge and you can't do it, then you are not qualified for the job.

I've driven over the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel more or less a couple of times a year for the past 25 years on our way to the Outer Banks. When I was a little kid, I was nervous about it/thought it was exciting, and got over it after a few years. The first time I drove over it myself, I was pretty anxious about it again. But, it's back to being one of my favorite drives now Anyway, Jaz, you're just going to have to deal with it. I hate driving through tunnels, but alas, I live on an island. Focus on the car in front of you and you'll be on the other side in no time. Can you practice on the weekend or something before you need to do it? Would that help make you less nervous?

You're fine. American engineers are top notch. Now, if you were going over a *Chinese* bridge, then I'd floor it and pray there isn't an earthquake. Chinese concrete sometimes is conspicuously missing any rebar.

Great, now she's gonna be looking for a "Made in China" stamp as she's flying over the bridge.

That's only because so few American engineers are actually... you know... American.

I see. It's simple Jaz, phobias exist to be conquered. Imagine how damned proud you'll be of yourself when you beat this! It's all in your head and you know it. Nothing is going to happen. Just keep your eyes fixed on the car in front of you and on the other end, and you'll be over that thing before you know it. Might as well give yourself a peptalk while doing it. I'm not kidding, it has worked for me when I went parachute jumping with my sister years ago. It worked so good, I went back another time! If you don't know what I mean, this is the thing I'm talking about: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7zFHkBQBg-4 It'll work. You can do it! __________________ /Thunder in the wind/No rain/Peace mourns its passing/"Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind." -Dr. Seuss

That's pretty much how I got across the Jamestown one. White knuckled grip with both hands on the wheel (I just about never drive with both hands ), staring straight in front of me, mumbling to myself. But I had Amala with me. I wasn't alone. I'd say maybe I should go and practice this weekend with Tom and/or the kids, but it's a $4 toll each way. A bit expensive for practicing. Thanks, Jazaray

Is it? Hit it 4 times round trip for $32, conquer a phobia. Seems to me that a therapy session would be more than that. I think if it works, great investment in yourself. If it doesn't, well, I wouldn't go there, but that's me. You CAN do it. Hey, you could sell that Body for Life book I sent you years ago. Maybe that would finance a trip over and back. You could even sell it back to me!

Just put a doll in the passenger seat and talk to it You can and you will do it! I want to see you post here with the success story that is crossing the bridge! If not, I....I....I'll get on the BTA! There, I've put my hard-earned trading reputation into your hands. How's that for motivation? Don't any of you dare encourage Jaz NOT to cross the bridge now..

I used to dream about this one bridge in Hong Kong. When I was a kid I thought we would launch ourselves off over a pool of water in order to land on the bridge; I was so scared cause my mom's a terrible driver so whenever she would drive us over I thought we'd drown. When I visited, a few years older, I realized it was just a really long bridge. Childhood shattered.
