Some people may want them (original art/legacy-modern play) before then or think they're going to hose value somewhat/rise back up, similar to rav CoG shocks.__________________

Not to mention idiots offering 20-25. The cheapest on tcgplayer is 37 for sp and 46 for nm. They can sell them on ebay and make a lot more than the lowballers are offering on here.

The lowest BIN on eBay right now is 24.84 shipped. That means the seller is making about 20 after fees/shipping. 20-25 is more than reasonable offer and it's only going to get worse.

Those are presells for Theros. Lorwyn is selling for 35, so offering 20 for Lorwyn is idiotic. If you want to wait a month for the card, you can get them for 25, 2 months maybe 20. There is nothing reasonable about trying to rip people off by lowballing them when they can still make more than 50% more selling on Ebay after fees.

What's idiotic, is people thinking that these are worth more then they are.
Trying to rip people off by low balling? I'm not sure how its even possible to try and rip somebody off this way. Nobody has to sell at those prices, However, It is now the market value.
You should prob leave emotion out of these reprints that you're losing money on.

I think he's merely arguing that the price quoted is the market value for the Theros preorders. If you think the Lorwyn and Theros ones will be worth the same, I'd certainly be happy to trade you my new Ravnica shocks 1 for 1 with any Old Ravnica shocks you have.

You're real good at running your mouth, how about backing it up? If this is the market, then sell to me at 20. I'm not losing money on anything. I finally bought the Jace TMS that I needed and moved them at a profit. How about selling me some Thoughtseize so I can make some more money? I need to replace the ones I sold at 50.00+. You are all talk and talk is cheap.

I'm not losing money on anything either cause I don't own any. Glad you were able to move them before they get hit for a big drop in price. Lets see you move some more at $50+.

And you're real good at not knowing what you're talking about. There's one thing I've learned about people that brag about how much money they made, It's that they never really made much money at all. You were wrong about jace, and you're wrong about this.

...you and viper both need to grow out of this 12-year old, Call of Duty trash-talking soap opera crap. Every time you two talk to each other, you have to treat the comment like it's a personal insult to each other's mother. Grow up and learn how to have a conversation, or at least a friendly debate. With that said, I can definitely see LOR seizes only maintaining a very small premium over the new ones, barring some trule hideous art. We already have an absurd amount of parallel cards for reference (lavamancer, shocks, etc.) that indicate a price difference of $3 or 10%, whichever is greater. Honestly, thoughtseize itself is overhyped. It's hardly a staple of modern, considering it's only run in 1 top tier deck and 2-3 rogue lists. And it's standard run was largely on the back of UB faeries.

It is played in Legacy too. Jund, Reanimator and Esper Deathblade comes to mind. Edit - Add Shardless BUG too

Jund and Melira alone might refute that, as it's a 4 of in each. So... all the top tier black decks. But you are correct that it's not in the decks without black cards, so there's that.
Not to mention what Cradle pointed out about Legacy.

It kinda amazes me how we go through this every single time a card gets reprinted. If we assume a significant increase in supply (i.e., it's printed at rare and not mythic), then we can assume there will be a price drop to the LOR Thoughtseizes. Will it drop to the same level as the Theros ones, no, certainly not. Original versions of cards are always more sought after than the latest printing. Supply will be lower, but people will be split on which artwork they prefer. If Theros ones are $20, for example, I'd expect LOR ones to be $35±5. Note that this applies only to regular versions. Foils won't even flinch. For some reason, they have tremendous price memory, and with it returning to Standard, I'd actually expect them to tick up slightly.
