Yeah, this is what I was saying. In a way, it would make refs more honest since a trader would not be able to leave retaliatory refs based on what you give them since they wouldn't see the ref until both sides had posted. I think it would actually encourage traders to be more honest and base their reference on how they felt the trade went since they would not have to worry about giving someone a "2" that they felt was deserved and then wind up getting a "2" in response to their ref posting.

Part of these price increases is because Wizards is doing an awesome job with Magic. All the formats are fun (well extended). Cool new cards. There are just more people wanting to play/collect then there are cards. International traders have something to do with this too. Not just Western Europe, US (Canada), and Japan anymore. I've been dealing with people all over the world.

You could both have it filled, but not be able to see the others until they are both filled out, and then they would go live after they both are done. This would not allow them to just give spite refs.

Wotc cancelled the Invitational tournament a few years back (claiming budgetary concerns). There is one winner that hasn't had a card made yet iirc, but that is the last one planned. It's not the price that bothers me, it's this huge bag of used bubble wrappers I don't want to toss in the garbage. Maybe I'll save them for when I move and use them as packing insulation.

Don't do that. Most decks will be solidly two colors, just like draft, and cards like Korlash aren't as good in such a format. Similarly, Glorious Anthem is WAY better than Divine Sacrament, because it allows you to play something like W/r and Glorious Anthem makes your Avalanche Riders a 3/3 haste guy. You should play more of the "protection from {color}" guys that don't cost WW or BB. Great Sable Stag, Mirran Crusader, and Stillmoon Cavalier all shine because they have protection from two colors and are great against people playing one color and amazing against anyone playing both. You have too many "draw X cards" in blue. I didn't cut the Aeon Chronicler, but I don't run in any longer. At a certain point, you just don't need to be drawing a huge amount of cards, since that doesn't always help you win. You need more of the early card drawers that help you out in a bind, can be played along with other spells, and come out faster. Similarly, in white, for a CHEAPER cost than Wing Shards or Parallax Wave, you can play cards like Journey to Nowhere that makes a target creature go away. It's really helpful for cards like Meloku or Fauna Shaman that your opponent may never even attack with. In general, you aren't playing enough aggro cards to support aggressive strategies; I've suggested you run more 1 and 2-drops with 2 power. If you want more specific comments on any cards, let me know.

I've done it plenty of times. Nothing wrong with it as long as it's in pretty good shape, just use a good amount of packing tape and you're good.

I've messaged you already on this, but i'm Also looking to expand each color to have 85 cards and also expan the multicolored to 6 or 7 cards per slot, I am going to add a page I have of cards in waiting like the 5 Titans I will add when i get them. Some cards i will keep in for Nostalgia like Vesuvan Doppleganger even though it isn't as strong as it once was. I like having Cadevar imp in there as a 2nd chance to grab Gravedigger which is very strong Isn't Zombie Cutthroat still one of the best draft cards ever because it can be put in any color deck? And also with the critiquing my list of Buy cards is kicking in the T&V to add to the cube. __________________ Member Since 03/28/2001 10000+ posts 3rd in posts in Ontario 15th in posts on MOTL Top 5 in Refs in Ontario (by people who location posted)

He's also got several cards overpriced. He probably couldn't get what he's asking for the lot by selling individually.

Okay; it's not the end of the world and you're free to personalize your cube as you see fit. The problem with cards like Cadaver Imp and Gravedigger is that the body needs to be worth the recursion. Eternal Witness is both efficient AND gets back any card, not just creatures. Karmic Guide gets a creature back into play AND it comes with a 2/2 body. There's a BIG difference between something like Mulldrifter (blue staple) and Anarchist (red unplayable). quote:

Yes it is. But, this isn't really draft and while a 3/4 on turn three is good, this one requires 5 life, and the environment is still filled with bigger guys. Onslaught block drafts were filled with 2/2's, so a 3/4 managed to trump most of them. A 3/4 in cube isn't as intimidating. You can keep it in and it may not be bad, but I don't think it's worth inclusion over other better cards, particularly removal cards that you are missing.

True, but i look at the 2 of them as being quite abusable so I leave them in. I'm probably going to make a Cut/Sidelines portion of my Cube doc because when new cards come other cards could come back in and could go. I also prefer it to be affordable and not blow my wad on cards that will drop after leaving standard so my cube is sometimes far behind (Titans, Jace 2.0) __________________ Member Since 03/28/2001 10000+ posts 3rd in posts in Ontario 15th in posts on MOTL Top 5 in Refs in Ontario (by people who location posted)

Yeah, aside from stuff i get in draft, I keep about a year behind in terms of power rares cuz I don't want to burn of a lot of money on stuff that won't hold it's value. Titans are so above the curve they are even kinda unfair in cube. Though it depends on if you want "balanced, but strong" or "who can legally cheat the best"?
