Don was just joking around... I didn't see any big deal there. I actually thought it was pretty funny... as I do about most of his posts.::shrug::

Since you play EDH irl, do you have active local player base to trade with? It's every unlikely for me to ever finish EDH decks local, since older cards are mostly decked @ my LGS. I've seen you post a lot of buy threads for dinky cards, makes me sad

I can certainly understand the sentiment here, but why not just go retail for the smaller stuff? I mean, even with international shipping charges assuming there aren't any reasonable stores in your country (which honestly can't possibly be that much worse than being charged $2.00+ for a sale of a single card here), you're going to get the cards you need for less than you're already offering to pay, at least in Skwirl's case. SCG of all things is selling Identity Crisis for $0.50 rather than the $1.00 he's offering.

I don't need anything for EDH, just foils for my cube.

of course I don't have a list. H/W lists on MOTL are far too time consuming and offer very little rewards. When I start wanting random foils, Korean cards, or both, it usually takes me actively searching instead of the other way around. if I ere to be getting rid of power I'd just be trading it into value to sell. The foils I do need aren't of any value. Foil seal of primordium anyone? heh. Barely worth the shipping.

We do have somewhat of an active player base. However most of the people that play and trade here hoard what's good in edh so that forces me to either buy or trade on here. Lately it's been hard to find a lot of the random stuff I need on here so that forces me to look at store sites for random smaller rares. Locally people take cards like Sensei's Divining Top or Sol Ring and value way more than its worth. I love it when we get random people that stroll into the shop with random old stuff, that's really the only time people can get ahold of a Mind's Eye or Wrath Of God. That's why l have given up to really look for edh stuff locally and just focus of trading for standard stuff and hope that one day some random guy comes in.

Then what was your point about mentioning how you'd "might" trade if I had enough foils to add up the value of power. Either way, I don't think I'd trade my foils to someone looking for "value." Getting a bunch of foil cube staples at once can be just as time-consuming as getting power. I would just try to sell the stuff myself. I just MOTL a lot, since I haven't been able to go to events a lot. You're right, shipping isn't worth it most of the time. I do have a Korean Aftershock that I don't want, maybe it can be your's someday? I don't have a list for the same reason why you don't have a list. If I get 2-3 trades out of a list, I consider that decent on MOTL. The want/have searcher works for me more. I'm sure you use that more also. But I do have a hand-written list of the specific cards that I need, because it's not that much.

I found an online retailer who had one for $24 and just pulled a BIN off ebay for $16.99 I can't wait for these to come in the mail. I don't think I've ever been so excited for cards to come in the mail.
I'm right there with you. bertie finally found me another Zombie Master, then a BIN showed on ebay for $60, and then cardkingdom had one for $58. Prior to that, the last 2 I bought were well over $100, and it might be a stretch of 3 or 4 months before one even shows up for sale. I'm pretty stoked for the mail to come.

I think he is just trying to name drop to get MOTL cred...I have never seen Carp "throw his weight around" at a table, he makes trades but this guy is a tool. He also called Magic cards investments which we all know the truth on that one.. I can't stand that guy, he is terrible and I can't believe he is writing.

Each side is a separate card with a white back.

Higgenbotham, Parkinson, and Walker - a very nice set of sigs for a "random" listing Kinda makes me wonder what was up? Jared

I bought the Dragonstorms off them awhile back, when I got them it wasn't Walker's sig on them, so I sent them back.I passed on them this time for that reason.

His articles used to be readable, tbh. Better than a lot of things I've read elsewhere. Now that most of the financial topics have been exhausted, these articles (from all writers), are getting progressively worse. Edit: And lol @ "throwing weight around".

Are there any websites left that accept article submissions? I might start writing again to break the monotony of unemployment. __________________ Most References in Massachusetts 80th All-timeSupport my friend's store: http://www.tabletoparena.com
