Am i missing something? What cards need to be updated daily or needs to be confirmed before a sale? If something shoots down in price no one's going to buy it until you update to reflect new value, and if something shoots way up in price (recall: stuff like grove of the burnwillows and bridges from below) I wouldnt worry about the people that might make a big deal out of you changing your price on them. Anything between that shouldn't be an issue if you lose out on 5-10% of value or something.

Having recently purchased an iphone i got excited about the new Magic toolbox app:http://www.wizards.com/Magic/Magazine/Article.aspx?x=mtg/daily/arcana/879 I fail at reading comprehension, not going to be released until later this month. Sounds cool tho, wonder hoe involved the deck building feature will be.

Whenever you make a sale. Whenever prices change. Whenever you get new stock. You aren't bound by a list. I get offers every so often for my "$10 Imperial Recruiters" by people doing google searches or something and finding lists from 2005. Though at this point they might be using the Wayback Machine or something. Incidentally, has anybody else noticed that buying/trading on this site sucks with the proliferation of dealers and people charging $15 to ship a $2 card? I used to get amazing deals (as in "fair by the motl guide") all the time for cool old stuff. Now it's all way high and the sellers ALL ask for ridiculous shipping. We really shouldn't be providing free marketing and bandwidth to professional for-profit stores unless they are helping to subsidize the forum.

Would a cube work with just promo cards? (i.e. cards that have been printed in promo form)?

There are plenty of sellers who are more than happy to send cards to a non-US address for the cost of regular airmail. All you have to do is tell them they are not responsible if something happens or work out another arrangement. Yes, it sucks that tracking something from the US to another country is cost prohibitive. I wish I could track stuff to Canada for just a few cents more than the cost of domestic DC. I'm sure you wish the same thing for Canada Post. Until that happens though, it's perfectly reasonable for sellers to protect themselves from people who may claim cards just never showed up. __________________ Wisconsin - smells like dairy air!I collect Granite Gargoyles. So what you are saying is that you want to be able to buy cards at the lowest possible price and have the seller take all the risk. It seems to me that people have been taken advantage of enough that they are just being smarter, and you're mad about it.

I've never once had something get lost and get compensated for it.

I feel that would be an awesome cube...although you wouldn't have a lot of lands (in fact none of the duals). Should be interesting tho. Most of the FNM cards are playables.

Thanks.. now just to get the promo SoP / wasteland and the black horse guy /wrists Also, When sorting cards, Do you count box set foils as foil rares (like the foil entomb from graveborn) or do you count it as promo?
Myself, I just list it as a rare from a box set..

And you would need a bunch of promo basics to use with this cube

Actually some promos would be awful to use in this cube (i.e. Accumalted Knowledge)Problem is.. the promos like StP, Wasteland, Fetchs, Both swords, all are $50+. Edit: Oh god, Sol ring is near 100? ! Edit #2: I think I can do this with each card being less than $20.. SCG shows 1212 results.. although a ton of those are probably basic land.. so.. 800 to whittle down to 400ish? Probably. Though no fetchlands, swords, StP, sol ring... Edit #3: Success (I think?) Filtered with mana cost 1 to infinite with price range (SCG's) to 0.00 to 19.99, 1019 results... Now to find out how many textless cards there are so I can take that out.. Edit #4: Succes #2. According to http://wiki.mtgsalvation.com/article/Magic_Player_Rewards, There is 48 textless magic cards. So that reduces the # from 1019 to 971. Now I have to find out how many full-art cards there are that are not foil (the game day that everyone gets) Edit #5. Going through my cards, I hope they reprint Quiet Speculation and Nature's Resurgence. (Edit 7, Avatar of Woe )
Edit #6. Stupid me, just filter just for foils. 836 items.

the rav block bounce lands? I don't recall ever seeing promos of those. Perhaps you're thinking of something else? At least it should be easy to get promo basics ;p

Um. I thought of doing this, and it's sort of a one time trick, but seems hilarious. Eternity Vessel + Leyline of Anticipation/Vedalken Orrey + Donate + Vampire Hexmage. Respond to their landfall trigger with Hexmage, sac it to remove the counters. Set their life total to zero . Having the Hexmage on the battlefield prevents them from playing lands too, so maybe some mana denial is in order, or stuff that bounces lands.

Seems like Sunder, Armageddon and Catastrophe would be good here.

Yes definitely. I actually intended to add the trick to my Sol'Kanar deck, so I won't be using white, but those are all cool, especially Sunder. I was thinking earlier, Bazaar Trader with Mindslaver gives you their best permament. Although that might end up being win more.

Also, I may be wrong, but you wouldn't have an opportunity to Donate it in time, unless it's off a fetchland or something. Dropping a land doesn't use the stack, so you'd never get priority, and the landfall trigger would have already occured.
Didn't realize it was a may trigger. I intended to just give it to an opponent and either have Hexmage out so they can't play lands, or try to trick them. Not necessarily in response to a land that they're playing, but basically the next one they do play once I've resolved Donate. Sucks that it doesn't work though .
