Well, the D20 is alright, don't have to get a fat pack to obtain one now. The angel token is sweet for me being an Enchantress player. The oversized card is a bit lame, as I don't play EDH. You know what would be an awesome inclusion for something like this. Exclusive full art foil lands. They made Zendikar, are insanely expensive now, every magic player uses them, and don't have to be some expensive money card, but with good art would make a lot of people happy. Anyone else agree? They could make a unique set for each block that could look amazing and not affect card market value for standard singles, and I'm sure there is a huge group of people who would love to get these.

I disagree with this idea. The reason people use them is because they seem special. Further more, they were used to make zendikar special and tie into the land theme. If they were readily available people wouldn't care about them and would want whatever the next new thing is.

Yes and no. They definitely need to use them sparingly, and definitely NOT as a promotional prize, since full art lands are a guaranteed seller now (ZEN was the 2nd best-selling set of all time for them).

but full art land weren't the only factor. Return of fetch lands and hidden treasures had a lot to do w/ it. I never buy boxes, but I bought 5 of zen just for the fetch lands. I just threw all the lands into boxes and forgot about them.

Personally, I don't play with zen and unh lands because they're special, hard to get, or some sort of elite status symbol...I use them because lands have been hideously ugly since they removed the tap text and went with the portal version of the text box. There's no need to waste half of the card with the mana symbol and the fact that full art lands are intrinsically understood by all players shows that the frame treatment is unnecessary. I think full art lands are a great idea as a prerelease prize! If they're exclusive to prereleases they'd absolutely drive more traffic to the events. Remember too: wizards doesn't care what the secondary market prices for any given card are, they're only concerned with selling packs. If there were full art lands being distributed instead of oversized cards I would go to 4 prereleases this weekend instead of just 1, and I'm sure I wouldn't be the only one to do so if that were the case.

And we have not heard anything (as far as I know) concerning the original spoiled Helvault so widely discussed...could it have been intentional disinformation by WotC?

It's quite possible some have the spoiled junk and others don't.

Why would I waste time on giving you fake info? According to the head jufge, the Helvault consisted of Spindowns, oversize cards, double sided promo foils and Judge Reward Demonic Tutor.

I know at the prerelease I was just at, one of the helvaults was filled with enough judge demonics for everyone. The other helvault had nothing extra.

There were foil tokens, I have about 4 from the event. I can upload pics if you want.

Demonic themed card seems appropriate for the Helvault. But really? Judge Demonics? It's not even legal in anything but as a 1-of in a dead format and in EDH.And from what i understand those are given to judges, and mostly only get to us through the secondary market? If that's true i think it's ridiculous. Diabolic Tutor isn't that great but woulda made more sense. At least it works in Standard.

First ive heard of Bob, and it quite honestly doesnt make sense. Exalted Angel, Decree of Justice, Demonic Turor - storyline wise the helvault trapped all the angels and demons, so these fit. Bob's a human wizard, do not understand. __________________ "He fights you not because you have wronged him, but because you are there."[16:17] <@BrassMan> what do you need new tech for? Tremendously disappointed, I like dice, so the d20 ok in my opinion. But the overhype behind the Helvault did not live up to a lot of people's expectations, including mine, oversized legendary creatures are pretty useless, the tokens are ok if you actually end up playing with them but that's just a matter of personal opinions since I know a lot of people just put dice or something instead of token cards; also the alara angel 4/4 token is a lot cooler and I would play with that one instead. Anyway, thoroughly disappointed, just glad I didn't have to pay for it and that I was attending the prerelease anyway. Next time, if there is indeed a next time they should just put some regular sized promos or alternate arts or something
