The most logical scenario is Cena winning or Punk winning and losing the belt to the MitB winner, which I personally believe is Del Rio. Also, I don't think this has to happen on that same night. If rumors are true that Punk would be at Raw the next night, Del Rio or whomever could easily beat him then. It really depends on how much guts the WWE has right now with CM Punk and Cena and to Zak's point, the health of Cena. Do I expect a full Summer of Punk like Ring of Honor had? Absolutely not. But regardless of that, Del Rio has to win Raw's MitB as both Cena and Punk will be over as faces after that match. Cena because he is who he is. And Punk because he will be in Chiacgo. Yes, let us not forget that Punk in Chicago is like any Canadian wrestler in Canada. The lines of good and bad are totally blurred for him there. Bottom line: CM Punk will win, but this reign will not last more than 24 hours. __________________ MOTL's Most Likely to Play in the Pro Tour - 2007, 2008, and 2009 (My Nationals) The Official Tower Magic Facebook Page

Cena needs to look super strong all year leading up to his match with the Rock. Creative gave ADR #1 contender-ship so that they could plan a fued between ADR and Cena for Summerslam. I have a couple "dream scenarios", but they are unlikely. 1) Vince helping Punk win the title and setting up a "Corporation"-like alliance. 2) Cena taking a dive and turning heel, creating the strongest duo since the Rock and Sock connection. 3) Punk wins cleanly and leaves, and the WWE comes up with some "contractual" obligation where he has to defend the title, leading to him coming back for good. Anyway, the problem is the WWE has to successfully accomplish the following things (for this to work out) and they have painted themselves into a corner that makes it unlikely. 1) Cena staying on TV. He's the biggest draw and top moneymaker. 2) Punk winning the match. I can't see why he would stay if he's just gonna be constantly losing to Cena/Orton. 3) Punk having a reason (publicly) to stay if he does win. Like why wouldn't he leave with the title, which is what he's been saying. Conclusion: Most likely scenario: Cena wins cleanly, Punk walks off into the sunset. This goes down as the greatest angle that never mattered.
Cena-Rock will NOT be a title match so Cena will lose before WM, it's just a matter of when and who beats him. Also, Cena isn't the only money making draw in WWE. He's just the only one they're using effectively. Another couple of possibilities: 1) Punk wins, Cena gets fired, and The Rock convinces Vince to rehire Cena in a couple of months so the "dream match" can happen down the road at WM. 2) Punk wins, and Vince just strips him of the title. quote: Originally posted by stu55: Come on Evan Bourne
The guy who gets less of a push than Swagger? Never gonna happen. At least not as long as Vince is the one deciding who is and isn't worthy of a push. quote: Originally posted by MAB_Rapper: Do I expect a full Summer of Punk like Ring of Honor had? Absolutely not. Del Rio is already #1 contender, so he doesn't have to win MitB to invoke his right to a title match. If Vince really has the balls to do something unexpected, someone other than Del Rio will win MitB then beat Punk for the title after he beats Cena, then have Del Rio vs that person for the title at the next PPV. The most likely MitB winner for this scenario is Rey Mysterio because of his lengthy history with both Punk and Del Rio.

We don't know that it won't be a title match. Furthermore, they can't have Cena lose it cleanly because that would take away from the "epicness" of the match with Rock.

Thing is though, what would happen if Vince simply strips Punk of the title? MitB winner vs ADR?A tournament for a vacant title? ~MM __________________ I am MeddlingMage...YOUR Motl Survivor 11 Champion, 2007 Captain N award winner, 2010 Marlboro award winner.MafiaBass (9:48:50 PM): sorry my keyboard is sticky MeddlingEric (9:48:56 PM): ewwww MafiaBass (9:51:43 PM): FTR, I did not show you my e-pee-pee New keeper of the Logout button
