Just tell him that a 5 is for exceptional traders, and that he didn't meet that criteria.

I hate where I live. I really do. Tom and some friends built me a commander deck, with some really nice cards (Including my altered art Linn Sivvi, and my ftv foiled Sol Ring) and someone came into my apartment and stole it (I had it in a 200 count card box) I don't really care about MOST of the cards, but some of them are going to be nearly impossible to replace. Some of the cards I was just borrowing too. I'm so upset Foiled Windborn Muse, gone. All my rebels, gone. Conspiracy, Ghostly Prison, propaganda, commander tower.. all gone. Avatar of Woe, Slate of Ancestry.. a bunch of foils and multi-color lands

Seriously, what else is gonna go wrong?? Tom still can't find a job, I can't find a job, his unemployment is gonna run out soon, what are we gonna do?

Jaz is depressed No happy Mom for a while here guys.

I'd just move on and never trade with him again. People like that exist and things like this happen through no fault of your own. You have 355 refs, I don't think anyone's going to look at someone that gave you a 2 and refuse to trade with you, especially if they look deeper into it. You also weren't BTA'd (something that probably SHOULD happen if the feedback is worthy of a 2) and you clearly sent a ref-check, something people don't do if they're expecting to get a bad response.

I disagree with the "tell him 5 is for exceptional traders" thing. If he's already given you retaliatory feedback for a 4 and sent that sort of pm, he's not going to understand all of a sudden what the theory is behind the numbers and what they're supposed to mean. And in practice, it's either a 5 (positive), less-than-5 (positive/neutral), or no ref (would have been negative; just doesn't send ref-check). If people even bother to look, which I doubt.

I really just wouldn't worry too much about it. Most people likely look at # of refs more than they look at quality of refs anyway. I've stopped trading for years at a time, come back and start trading again, and don't get questioned about why my last ref was in 2007.

Guys and girls, I need a favor. I hate doing this, but my mother in law is still driving me crazy about it. For those of you who have me on FB, I posted this a few weeks ago.

There is a contest on a Brazilian version of Facebook for pets. Think of it as 'PetBook'.

Don't ask.

First place gets a professional photobook of their pet. My dear mother in law wants me to ask people I know for votes. If anyone can help, click here:

http://www.thepetsuniverse.com/photo/nikita-com-frio

And click on "Curtir" ("Like" in Portuguese) below the picture.

Thanks, it's driving me nuts. I hope she can get to 80 likes or something and close this thing off.

Oh no, that's terrible. Was anything else taken? If not I'd check around with people or "friends" that play magic with you and Tom. Anyone failry new to the playgroup? If you remember more of the stuff (rebels etc) I wouldn't mind helping you to get some of them back as a gift from me. I know for a fact I have 5 Lin-Sivvi.

Drop me a line of what you're missing and I'll check it out. Won't ease the pain or the fact that you were violated, but mayne would be nice to get some of that stuff back. Also sorry to hear about the job situation

We didn't have any of Magic buddies over during the time it went missing. We're fairly positive it was one of the idiot kids in the building. We don't lock the door during the day, because my kids are in and out all day long. We figure one of the kids in the building just opened our door, came in and took while the kids and I were out.

I do have another Linn Sivvi, it's just not altered. Maybe I can get in touch with RK Post and see if he'd mind altering it for me.

I'd have to sit and think about what rebels were in it. Cho-Manno was, Cho-arim bruiser, themal and nightwing gliders.. But I'm fairly sure that I have more copies of the commons. I don't think I have another Cho-Manno. I don't know. I just hate this.

Thanks,
Jazaray

Prolly better to give keys to your kids, to be honest. If I ever left my door unlocked, my apartment would be cleaned out in no time, lol.

I got a few of these I could ship you for free.

PM me your address Jaz and I'll do the best I can. It's an injustice when nice people get hosed so I wouldn't mind helping out.

And if anyone else sends you them, you'll have extras for trade fodder

Court documents are much more writing. Especially when you've got a guy with 45 creditors and he lied to at least six of them.

Got my schedule for the next two semesters worked out and had another visit with my doc to figure out my anxiety. Although she admitted that she has no clue how to take care of it, I appreciate her honesty and how hard she is working to fix the feedback loop caused by having anxiety triggered by the very medicines I need to take to make it stop.

Now to pay a visit to the lawyer's office and find out why I haven't gotten word regarding papers Alicia claims her lawyer sent out a couple weeks ago, and my life will be in as much order as it can be given the circumstances!

Being unemployed and job hunting is such a horrible situation. You work on cover letters and resumes, scour the internets for job postings, talk to people but for all your hard work you often get no response at all. There must be some e-black hole that swallows all resumes whole. I have a cushion to work with but I'd prefer to be employed sooner rather than later as I was hoping to use a big chunk of it on a down payment for a house.

Oh well, back to the grind...gl to you and yours, Jaz.

I think i cried a little when i heard Crichton died. I absolutely love his writing. I've probably read all his books at least five times each, some a lot more than that too. The Great Train Robbery was awesome.

Nobody can do suspense like him, except maybe Stephen King. Looking back though I can see that Crichton used strawmen at practically every friggin opportunity, which is kind of disappointing. And good lord, the sexism.

All that aside, Sphere is far and away the most terrifying novel I have ever read, and easily one of the best books I've ever read. The Stand is the only book that even comes close.

As of this morning, I have lost 10 pounds now, just from relatively minor modifications to what I eat. Instead of a Monster in the morning and 2 to 3 sodas throughout the day, I only drink Crystal Light, with the occassional apple juice or such when at a restaurant. No more fast food, or when it's a must, I go for a chicken wrap or something like that. I eat carrots almost constantly to keep from snacking on bad foods, plus it's made a world of difference for portion control, which has been my true downfall over the years, and it's oatmeal or cottage cheese and fruit for breakfast, turkey sandwiches for lunch usually, and a salad before dinner, and something somewhat healthy for dinner. All of these things are changes that I will be able to maintain for the long run without much difficulty. I am kind of surprised that after almost a month, I still haven't developed any real cravings for some kind of junk food. I haven't yet started my exercise program, since once some more weight comes off that will be easier, but that is my plan for once the weight loss from my eating changes levels off.
