Finally got a FTV Sundering Titan after months of nonchalantly trying to find one. Now I need it altered to be Bender. __________________ Most References in Massachusetts T-93rd All-timeSupport my friend's store: http://www.tabletoparena.com

I wouldn't be too worried about the quality of the mat itself, more-so the printing on it. Blank mouse pad like play mats are very easy to find at craft shops so it would be the application of the art onto it that concerns me, especially since they have no real photos of the mat. The price for it also seems a tad steed, but if its good enough to use as a door mat.... lol

What caquaa said. Get a solid and cheap competitive deck (i.e. good enough to 4-0 DEs) and keep doing DEs.
Play casual games until you are familiar with the interface. Also, do not ever buy packs with $$$, choose a bot and get all your packs from it. I think SOM goes for around 10 tix for 3 packs as compared to $4 per pack from the Wizards store.

This is a completely noob question but when you say "Tix" do you mean Event Tickets? I have been playing casual Pauper games to get used to everything and am having a blast! I am Running a Horseshoe Crab/Hermetic Study deck thanks to a few friends donating commons

Yes, Tix = Event Tickets.Pauper is a great way to start. There's still a lot of skill involved, and is good practice in mulliganing and metagaming. It seems to be a very rock-paper-scissor meta right now. I'm playing Grapeshot storm, currently. Getting used to the interface is definitely important. Maybe it's just because I didn't play too competitively until I got MTGO anyway, but there were a lot of detailed timing and targeting issues that surprised me. Add clicking and tons of triggers and sometimes it gets rough. Occasionally I'll play a deck IRL and give it up online because the triggers are too annoying to negotiate. Even today, I had two active Pyromancer Ascensions and wanted to Into the Roil his Kor Firewalker equipped with Sword of Body and Mind and Leyline of Sanctity. IRL that would be pretty easy to communicate, but I messed it up. I needed to target Leyline first, then use the first trigger to resolve to target the Sword, then the second trigger to target the Firewalker. I targeted the Sword first and then there was no way to do it. Oops.

yea it does get pretty annoying using Horseshoe crabs untap then deal damage abilities 5+ time each turn. Is there a way for your opponent to maybe yield priority to certain abilities when they know they don't have a response so I could stack the abilities without having to wait for my opponent to confirm?

Wow, normally I use KMC or Dragon Shield, but I have been collecting all of the ultra pro mtg sleeves. They aren't the top quality, but last a long time if taken care of. I recently picked up a pack of the new mirran sleeves, and 4 sleeves started peeling the FIRST time I shuffled it. Stay away from the mirran ones, they are TERRIBLE.Ok, so due to the metallic portion of the sleeve, I assumed correctly that it was just a thin layer of plastic over top of a metallic sleeve. It peels off so easy... i might just save mine by peeling all of my sleeves and having a metallic backed deck.

I try to stay away from UltraPro sleeves with designs, their matte single-color are fine; but thats it.Dragon Sleeves are good; but to expensive; and no one offers custom sleeves yet sad panda is SAD.

I have seriously done nothing but play Pauper on MTGO all freaking day. Like, since I woke up until right now when I just signed up for the daily event. I'm so lazy!

I've been drafting all day long to get more QPs for Season 3. I'm sitting on 10 QPs and I need 5 more to qualify.

For the same reason that baby food doesn't actually contain real babies (and Chinese food doesn't contain Chinese people). Also, take a look at the cards with Titan in their name. They don't have the creature type Titan. In fact, if you look at the artifact Titans - they're Golems.

That's because they're all stolen pics. That's why the backgrounds don't match up at all. My guess is that a lot of people are going to get ripped off. __________________ Ebay problems? File a claim, leave a neg, buy on MOTL.

Usually artifact type Giants are called Golems in many mythologies. Which makes sense. __________________ Member Since 03/28/2001 10000+ posts 3rd in posts in Ontario 15th in posts on MOTL Top 5 in Refs in Ontario (by people who location posted)

MTGFantatic charges $1.00 when you sell them cards to send you payment by Paypal, as a processing fee. You'd think if they're going to charge $1.00 to send a paypal payment (15 seconds?) they could send payment earlier than 35 days (literally, every time) after they receive the sell order.

Do they offer you breathtaking prices? Because if they don't, I'd much rather sell elsewhere.

For MTGO, play Standard Pauper. Momir basic is fun too, though you just randomly lose (kinda like everything else). The ONLY limited formats you can hope to go "infinite" on even if you are good is the old sets. I did 12 Saga drafts off one draft set. There's such a high concentration of high-value cards. Same with Tempest. Problem is that these old sets are somewhat less than perfectly balanced and have absolutely unfair color hosers that let people just randomly pull wins out of nowhere.
