Hey All,I was just skimming eBay to kill some time (always fun), and I noticed every high priced Black Lotus had sold on the 19th... including the 100K one Either somebody is having fun with some BIN's or they hit the lottery (lol). Take it easy, Jared

First order off ever off Channel Fireball for a Russian Thrun and I get an English one Well lets see if they can make it right. edit: Well they already responded to me, seems an inventory mistake. Rare to see Russian cards. They handled the situation well, so kudos to them.

Does anyone else find this funny....He is asking for someone to help him out BUT: He is not paying for any gas to go purchase it or mail it out, he wants you to send first for helping him out, he is not paying for sales tax, he is paying via MO so it will take even longer to get the cash, he is living in a pipedream to get it shipped for $3, and he is asking you to sell him something that you can sell for more at most places.....Gotta love helping people out.....Sign me up.

Lol what a tool. Is this the same guy who had the laughable rules list a few weeks ago (who wanted to sell cards for tix or something like that)? EDIT: wait no that's not who I'm thinking of, nvm. __________________ "I never got any respect at all. My family moved a lot when I was a kid, but I always found them." -- Rodney Dangerfield

Ok. What about sales tax? What about the low shipping quote? What about the time? Do you really think you were not being a cheapskate?

Great job on missing the point. The issue is not that you're asking for street value, it's that your asking for street value while being incredibly lazy and greedy about the whole affair. Like I posted on your thread before you deleted it, you're not doing anything to thank the guy helping you out, you're not offering to pay for the gas he has to spend getting there, or any of the shipping if it goes over 3$, and you're not even paying him a little extra for his trouble. It's really pretty entitled of you, and it makes you look like a tool.

Missing the point again. You're being a dick by not offering some sort of compensation to the guy who's being nice enough to help you out. __________________ "I never got any respect at all. My family moved a lot when I was a kid, but I always found them." -- Rodney Dangerfield

Yeah, I'm not gonna name names - if anyone wants to find out, read what he posted first... Strangely I haven't seen any posts from him like that, here on MOTL. edit: At least none in recent memory.

Necromancer's Covenant is such a piece of crap. Why couldn't it have been all opponents graveyards? Or even all players. Pffft

It's pretty good as-is, especially in edh. Basically reads, "rape target dredge player's graveyard". __________________ "I never got any respect at all. My family moved a lot when I was a kid, but I always found them." -- Rodney Dangerfield

EDH has never been casual? WTH is he talking about? The first 4 lines of that post is probably the worst description of the format I have ever read.

My friend just rage quit cube drafting after losing two matches in a row, both times having drafted the "better deck", according to him.I think my first deck was better than his, but he feels that I just beat him with one card - Wurmcoil Engine, while his deck as a whole was better than mine. The second deck I had was probably worse than his, but I got a good draw game two, with turn one Llanowar Elf turning into turn two Great Sable Stag, followed up by turn three Garruk, followed up by Aftershock destroying his Grafted Wargear which was attached to a shadow creature. This was my ridiculous (bad?) cube draft deck for match two: Llanowar Elf Troll Ascetic Profane Command Oblivion Ring Ajani Goldmane Plow Under Duplicant Lightning Bolt Great Sable Stag Thrun, the Last Troll Aftershock Decree of Justice Chameleon Colossus Yosei, the Morning Star Nezumi Graverobber Harmonize Ajani Vengeant Koth of the Hammer Pithing Needle Garruk Wildspeaker Gifts Ungiven Windswept Heath Underground Sea Badlands Hallowed Fountain Creeping Tar Pit Scalding Tarn Verdant Catacombs Raging Ravine Plains Forest x5 Mountain x5

I like that site but I probly wouldnt care if I was banned from it. edit - but I guess if I lose the respect of certain members. refs dont really mean anything after that anyway

helpmehelpyou whining about something? Wow what else is new... That's almost as frequent as joz's failed attempts at comedy. I'm still totally playing it in my 5-color black zombies deck. I just thought something like that could have gone further. That's a lot of mana to spend on one graveyard when there doesn't necessarily have to be that many creatures in it (he's dredging and reanimating, other people's graveyard hate, whatever). It feels frail to me, a little uneventful. I'm just winchin' cause i love zombies and lifelink and the whole point of the deck is to reanimate other's people's dead. Edit: I won't claim to know what helpmehelpyou was talking about (i was a little puzzled at the post) but no one around here plays for fun really. Or, they play for fun of course. But the decks are serious and played with a somewhat cutt throat attitude. Most of what i've ever seen is people basically trying to make the best deck possible building around the 'handicap' that you only play singletons. I think these people would combo off turn 1 every time given half a chance. Kudos to me taking the combo pieces in Sharuum. Pffft.

Well then allow me to introduce myself (unfortunately I am not a man of wealth or taste :rimshot: )! I am an avowed timmy. In fact, at the commander launch party I had the opportunity to engage in the following delightful conversation with a pair of brain-dead spikes*: BDSpike1: Man, I kind of wish Mirror Mastery wasn't sold out, I would have totally gotten that one, just for the generals. Me: I know, right? I'm thankful that the guy over there let me trade my Heavenly Inferno for his copy, I can't wait to build decks around Riku and Animar. BDSpike2: Oh, Animar! Animar is insane. Me: Yeah, I know haha. I've got the deck pieces lined up at home - Semblance Anvil, Cloud Key, Cloudstone Curio, Erratic Portal, Equilibrium - all those bounce cards and then just ramp up into dropping Eldrazi for free. Can't wait! BDSpike1: Aw dude, do you have Aluren? - BDSPike2: - Cause that's the combo, ya know! [ed: holy ****, really?] Me: ...uh, nah. Don't have it, don't plan on buying it. I don't want to just combo out on people's faces or go infinite, that's not fun. I mean I've got Grinning Ignus and stuff as backup if I have to, but I don't want to just run a ridiculous deck like that and force everyone else to gang up on me, there's no fun in that. BDSPike1: (ignoring the second half of what I just said) You can pick up Aluren pretty easily you know, it's only like a 4 dollar card. Me: Yes, I understand that, but that's not the point. The point is I don't want to because it's just one-sided and it's the same thing every time. That's not fun to me. Besides, it'd be really overpowered for my playgroup. BDSpike1 & BDSpike2: *share a glance* BDSpike1: It's not that overpowered, man. Me: Maybe not in comparison to the kind of decks you guys run in your playgroup, but for mine it is, and there's no fun in that. BDSpike2: It's fun. Me: *gives up* *Just to clarify, I'm not saying all spikes are brain-dead, just these two. __________________ "I never got any respect at all.
