Thanks for the post and encouragement. I'm sitting down and reading through this damn tedious document. 185 pages, ugh. I read somewhere that while I was reading through it, I should delete all the sections I understood, and leave the sections that I wanted to review, etc so I'm doing that as I go through. That way, I can re-review and concentrate on just parts I'm confused about. Seemed like a good idea. Out of curiosity; any chance they're going to ask about variant formats; i.e. Planar, Vanguard, Archenemy, Commander, etc? I know they're likely to ask about 2hg since it's moderately supported.

Totally random advice that I need: My Speech and Debate kids got me a FoW for my birthday a while back and I'm super happy about it. Thing is, there's a tiny white chip that identifies it from my other 3 FoWs that I'm scared I'll forget. Do you guys have any suggestions as to how to differentiate it from the others? I currently have a scrap of paper stuck in front of the card that doesn't stick out or have extra thickness- will this work?

There will be 2HG and maybe team questions. I didn't see any question about casual variants yet.

not sure why it matters. You could have them sign it or such if you wanted. I have a FOW signed by Nielsen and my friend who previously owned it. He said he wouldn't get rid of it ever, so he signed it. When he sold out he still had it and I bought the collection... and its sitting in my cube.

I went 8-1 in 2 days of constructed game day tournaments and my DCI total rating stayed the same. Sigh.

Once your rating gets so high, its hard to gain points. I lose points when i draw into top 8. Dci rating is pretty irrelevant unless your trying to Q for byes, or for worlds. I was 7 points away from 2000, but i gave up on that, since i was missing out on all my favorite tournaments to play. Its not worth missing out on all the fun. Points are easy to get

I'm getting a bit sick of these messages from my trade post saying "I'll buy your X if you give me a price" I don't even have on my page that i will sell my cards.. Sigh. __________________ Member Since 03/28/2001 10000+ posts 3rd in posts in Ontario 15th in posts on MOTL Top 5 in Refs in Ontario (by people who location posted)

I don't want them to sign my FoWs because I like it all minty and unsigned. I think I'll just put a dot on the sleeve on the front- this isn't marked, right?

Does the above seem like the prices are wrong or is it just me? I thought FoW was an easy $60 __________________ Member Since 03/28/2001 10000+ posts 3rd in posts in Ontario 15th in posts on MOTL Top 5 in Refs in Ontario (by people who location posted)

its wrong. Apathyhouse attempts to do pricing on non-english cards, but doesn't do a good job. That is more odd is that the price for Italian says $47 but the graph shows $60

So... for tonight's weekly Legacy tournament, I could use a Thrun in the sideboard. But I don't have one, and don't know anyone who could lend me one. So I'm running a Scragnoth. Yeah, you read that right. A single Scragnoth. RawR! __________________ "I have heard the mermaids singing, each to each. I do not think they will sing to me." -T.S. Don't run scragnoth. The only benefit I see from thrun is that he gets past maze of ith and scraggy can't do that. I run g/w and I use NO package. If I didn't have it I would SB thrun. You could also use Troll Ascetic as well. I read your deck and I know you have a natural order package. Use that instead. I don't think the can't be countered thing is as relevant since you have a ton of creatures. You may have something different, but this is from a G/W players prospective.
